Then the same should be said of Sanchez as well. They've all bottled it at Arsenal but I don't think anyone here would say no if we had a chance to get Sanchez. Sanchez is the only one that has been fighting for the team on the pitch. He is the one trying to drag the rest of the shite along. Ozil has just done nothing. Similar things were levied at him when Madrid binned him too. Not the kind of player you need if you want to challenge for titles. Sanchez is. But then we can do better/there are better options for both of them. Well if the stats suggest Ozil is creating the most chances then isn't he doing what's expected of him? When you watch an Arsenal game I think Sanchez is definitely more noticeable with the runs he makes and his pace generally, which may give the perception that he's fighting. But when the camera goes to him sitting on the bench smirking when their getting battered then you really have to question if he's fighting for that team. No real leaders on that team and Arsene seems to have lost control. Agreed there are better options for us though.

Thing about Ozil is we've already got Mkhitaryan doing the same thing he does essentially. Everyone is more or less in agreement that his general play has been shite but he's still picking up assists most games. That's essentially what Ozil does, barring this season when he's created as many chances as Mkhi, but none of them have been converted.
The main difference between the two players is Ozil is an annoying as fuck bloke. Daft celebration, that daft #YaGunners catchphrase thing he does, them daft blonde highlights in his hair. Bloke's a fucking wanker. At least if Mkhi's general play is shite, he still seems like a decent inoffensive chap. We just don't need anyone else in that position anyway. Sanchez isn't comparable, because he plays in a different position entirely.

No to Ozil.
Of course he still gets assists and creates chances, even when playing like he doesn't give a shit; he's a very gifted playmaker in a naturally attacking team, he's always going to create opportunities.
But he's a bottler, and to be honest I'm amazed that Mourinho would even fancy him. He dropped Martial because of his attitude last season, he sold Mata because he wasn't defensively minded enough for his Chelsea team. Why would he look at someone like Ozil who's attitude is worse than Martial and puts less effort in than Mata and think he'd be a right signing?

sportwitness.co.uk/player-opens-man-united-transfer-possibilities-arrive-jan-mourinho-chat/Jose Mourinho has made his feelings clear over Andreas Pereira. The Manchester United manager wanted the 21 year old to stay at the club this season, and had been against a loan exit, to Valencia or anywhere else, but the player’s persistence got him the move. It’s not what Mourinho would have preferred, obviously feeling Pereira would have got chances over the season. The Manchester United manager has made a point of saying there’s a loan recall clause, meaning Pereira could transfer back back to Old Trafford on January 1st, should Mourinho activate it. Speaking to Spanish newspaper Marca, Pereira was asked about that potential switch to Manchester United in the winter window, and explained what he says he knows: “I’m focused on Valencia, I want to be here and help Valencia all year, but I don’t know what United wants in the future. I want to help and do the best all year in Valencia. “I don’t know, that’s (the clause) something between the clubs, I was told I was going to play here for a year and I don’t know about that clause.” Something doesn’t seem right here. It would be odd for Mourinho to lie about the clause, but it would be equally odd for Pereira to not know about it. During the January transfer window Sport Witness and others were repeatedly told Pereira didn’t have any idea about a potential Valencia move. That was plainly wrong, and this line of the player knowing nothing isn’t going to work. If there’s a clause, Pereira must know about it. It’s probably better to side with Mourinho on this one, so there is a recall clause, and the youngster could return. The alternative is Mourinho made the whole thing up or Manchester United haven’t been straight with him. Asked about his departure from Manchester United, Pereira told Marca: “It was difficult because they wanted me to stay in Manchester, but for me, individually and to improve, the options to play were here. In Valencia I want to help, because at United I had little chance. “It didn’t hurt (Mourinho publicly going against the loan). I talked to him before coming here. On the one hand I am very happy because he likes me and I think if he didn’t see me as a good player he wouldn’t have wanted me to stay. I think on the other side of everything, that is the positive. If you look at it from the negative side it might be painful, but for me, however, it’s a good thing. I talked to him before coming here and I want to work hard and stay all year. I’m focused here.” It’s clear that whilst Pereira could arrive back at Manchester United in January, that’s not what the player wants. Given Mourinho going against the loan publicly, and at the same time making sure everyone knows about the January clause, it seems bold for Pereira to repeatedly dismiss that prospect in an interview conducted less than a week later. Still, playing at Valencia is probably better for the player’s career than not playing at Manchester United, and without knowing what Mourinho’s specific plans for Pereira were, and without predicting injuries in a crystal ball, it’s hard to see where a reasonable amount of game time would have come.

sportwitness.co.uk/director-football-opens-door-everton-man-united-sign-belgian-starlet-next-summer/If you’ve followed Sport Witness for a while, you’ll be all up to date with the Leander Dendoncker situation, and how Everton and Manchester United were involved in his drop in form at the beginning of the season. The Anderlecht starlet even admitted himself that the transfer speculation messed with his head towards the end of the transfer window, but it appears that is all behind him now that a move won’t take place until next summer. Giving yet another interview to Sport/Foot this week, the Belgian club’s director of football, Herman Van Holsbeeck, explained the situation, and opened the door for the likes of Everton and Manchester United to come back in for him next year. He said: “Dendoncker’s head was elsewhere. He showed his disappointment during training at not being transferred. His mate Tielemans went to Monaco, and he was training with the national team, and he wanted, like them, to play in the biggest leagues. “Certain people in his entourage put pressure on me, on the club or on his agent, Christophe Henrotay. Today, we’re prepared to pay him based on his status of key player and to work on his future transfer like we did for Youri. In fact, we all have an interest in working together.” This will be music to the ears of José Mourinho, who has been following the defensive midfielder for some time now, sending scouts to Anderlecht games last season, and we don’t doubt Ronald Koeman’s ears will be pricking up if an opportunity to sign him arises. Of course, let’s not forget Monaco where his good friend Youri Tielemans currently is, who had him lined up in case Fabinho had followed Mbappé to Paris Saint-Germain. Expect this to rumble on throughout the year.

Dendoncker would be ideal next summer. Gives us more depth centrally and can be the long term replacement for Matic.

Sign him up...
Ahead of the release of FIFA 18 later this month, Paris Saint-Germain’s Thomas Meunier had a game or two with some journalists, which gave them the perfect opportunity to ask him a few questions about various things, including one of his favourite teams, Manchester United.
Already expressing his love for the Red Devils in the past, the Belgian right-back, who will know all about the club through his international teammates such as Romelu Lukaku and Marouane Fellaini, was asked who he normally played with when picking up a controller.
He told SFR Sport: “Paris Saint-Germain, of course, but that’s mostly to put myself up top. Other than that, Manchester.”
When pushed a bit further about which club he meant, Meunier added with a smile: “United. The real one. Because I’ve always been a Manchester fan.”
Since he brought up the Premier League side, the reporter then went on to ask him what he thought of what was going at Old Trafford these days, and the self-proclaimed fan admitted he was happy with what he was seeing.
He said: “They’ve really built a good team this year, especially Matic, who I would have really like to see join Paris Saint-Germain as he’s truly exceptional, and regarding the rest, they’ve got a very good manager, a very good group, a very good fanbase. They’re the perfect club. They’re really good.”
With Antonio Valencia not exactly getting any younger these days, and Thomas Meunier’s stock rising by the week in European football, perhaps the right-back is giving José Mourinho something to think about for the future?
After all, if Manchester United came knocking, it seems the defender would find it hard to say no.
First, though, you would have to convince Paris Saint-Germain.

First, though, you would have to convince Paris Saint-Germain I'm afraid we already have a Belgian stalwart who happens to have the most glorious afro this side of the 1960's.
