Imagine being a supporter of a team with loftier ambitions than Spurs. We were fucking shite, no laughing at Spurs will disguise that. Was bored to tears watching that So was I. We're still second in the table. I'm just tired of seeing people moan after every single game, no matter the result or sometimes even the performance. Avoid Facebook then especially the MOTD or United's own pages because there are some absolute melts on there. We could win the fecking champions league and they'd probably complain we didn't play the right kind of football.

Oh and I'm really expecting more from Lukaku. I know he's still young, technically but in terms of experience he's a solid pro now, been playing first team football since he was 16. I know the service isn't great and I do still think he'll score goals but for ÂŁ75mil I'm expecting so much more. His footballing ability is looking so, so limited.
He'll obviously get time and continue to get the backing but he's got to improve and I hope if he doesn't, Jose has the balls to bench him in the future. I think we have 2 much more gifted footballers in Martial and Rashford (I know they were both shit today) who'd have more of an effect starting up front for us right now.
When people go on about getting both of them into the starting lineup, I actually think the best way would be to have one on the left and one of them through the middle, or even both up top. I'm also certain we'd have more fluency going forward as well.

That was... shit. Everyone looked jaded and we were very obvious in our attacking play. I don't care that BHA stuck everyone behind the ball; we should expect it and we should devise a way to cut through it. I am still not onboard the Lukaku train. Rashford is a way more talented player and I'd rather him be at the tip of the attack. What purpose does it serve leaving Lukaku on when Zlatan comes in? BHA were unlucky to not at least draw. If they had someone a little quicker at the back post we'd have lost by a handful of goals. Embarrassing.

Only saw first half which was dire. Glad it sounds like the second wasn’t quite as bad, albeit still bad.
1/3 of the pre-City PL run sorted. It only gets harder from here so let’s hope we can step up.

Good thing Young stepped up, but we shouldn’t have to be relying on senior players,he can’t play every game FFS Pretty annoyed today, even though we won,we’re still second, and it’s NOT the end of the world, there’s still something amiss at the mo.

A very poor performance but a very important win given the other results.

I honestly cant believe with our attacking talent, how bad we are at creating chances. we were so lucky to not concede off all the crosses they put in. lidelof looks like hes settling and has a very good passing range and was good to see him crunch there attacker in a quality tackle.
miki has gone so far backwards its unbelievable. utter shite when he came on

Problem is two of our three most creative players are walking statues at the minute.. Mata and mhicki.. therefore if Pogba is not doing it.. the other two need to alleviate some of burden and quite frankly they are bollox at the minute.. Mata is too hit and miss.. I'm sorry he's not our answer and mhicki.. Well it's just not working.. we need someone new in January if we are to stand a proper chance of challenging for trophies.

We really do need a real high quality number 10 to make our attack work. Along with a left back I’m sure those are the two positions Jose will be looking to reinforce in the summer/winter.
I’m also wondering why so many people seem to be surprised by Lukaku - he is not a complete footballer who can change a game on his own, he is a bulldozer who will score when enough chances come his way. We’re currently not creating chances so he is not scoring enough. Hopefully one day he will be able to influence games more, for now the focus should be on supporting him better.
As for today, the game sucked but we won. Last season that game had a draw written all over it - I take the improvement and am happy with the 3 points. Just because City are winning games like this 5:0 doesn’t mean we are going to also do that, stop kidding yourselves by expecting these score lines whenever we play a team that is supposed to be “weak”. Both Chelsea and Spurs dropped points which is also a big positive.

Pretty awful game, as everyone else has said, but at least we got the win and continue to put something like a bit of pressure on City.
Again as others have said, last couple of seasons that has draw written all over it; this year we're managing to win the majority of those game, so that's something.
With the next 3 games being trips to Watford (who are looking pretty good at the moment) and Arsenal, then City at home, it was vital we won, regardless of the performance.
I'm obviously hoping for 9 points, but 7 would be just swell. Draw one of those away games, win the other, and then we have to beat City. If we have any hope at all of catching them then a win is essential. In as much as it shows everyone else they can be beaten and sows some doubt in their minds as much as it narrows the gap.
After that the fixtures are kinder in December; Bournemouth, Burnley and Southampton coming to OT and trips to West Brom and Leicester. Unfortunately, City's fixtures aren't exactly daunting either; Southampton, West Ham, Spurs and Bournemouth at home and trips to Swansea, Newcastle and Palace along with the game at OT.
