Think it's a bit like when a player lowers his head and is hit with the boot. Yeah, it looks bad and could result in a very bad injury, but why the fuck did he lower his head and how was the other player supposed to avoid it? Kind of similar to Pogba's situation.

I don’t think it matters anyways because the club won’t appeal. We want him for as many games as possible this month and when we inevitably lose the appeal an extra game is tagged on. I also learned intent doesn’t matter at all, it’s dangerous play. Unfortunately the FA won’t create a precedent where this type of incident is able to be overturned. Matic and Herrera can do the job for us in the interim with Lingard and Martial looking in amazing form.

I highly doubt we will appeal after lukaku wasn't banned for kicking that brighton player. there would be turmoil across the league if he got away with it

I would've been screaming for a red like if someone did it to one of our players. It looked worse because of where he's caught him. I'd like to say it's done now so move on, but it's not done because he'll definitely get that extra game for applauding. He's the biggest loss we could've possibly had against City, but it's not like we've never won a big game in the past without key players.
