At the start of the season we were smashing teams like this, I don't understand what has changed. Is Pogba THAT vital? Yes. Pogba is much more than solely an attacking threat, he strings the midfield with the attack and helps out defensively when called upon.

3 points is all that matters, caught most of the 2nd half which was dull and very parky bussy.
The win and 3 points will do.
Showing just how important Pogba is. We seem to hit a monumental speed bump when he's not playing. Whether that's down to him being that vital or Jose's tactics. Should still be doing better than that against teams like that at home.

I know its not the goal but we are now creating a nice gap between us and 5th place. Shit performance but a win is a win.

Time to get used to it, i mean it ridiculous that Bournemouth have more shots than us etc at our place, while City are dishing out hidings. The natives will be getting more restless if this utter shite continues. ffs.

I'm pretty disgusted with that. Call that a response? The fact we got 3 points is the only positive about that. Fucking hanging on at home to Bournemouth.
Martial pretty average from the start again by the way. He's still got a long way to go for me. Needs to consistently produce the performances we knows he's capable of before I get too excited. Still his best performances this season come from the bench.

Good performance from Shaw. Very good from Jones. Other positives are scouse and Arse dropped points.
That’s about it.

3 points on a really shitty Wednesday evening, so that's a positive. I thought Jones and Shaw were excellent, Mata was hit and miss at times but worked really hard and was at the centre of most attacking movement. Martial was dangerous at times. De Gea and Valencia solid as always.
Lukaku did a good job of the goal but not much other than that. He is just so cumbersome and lead-footed, and I've never seen someone as big as him lose so many headers and fail to hold the ball up so much. I know the main thing you want from strikers is goals, and he's doing well in that department (albeit not against the big teams, which is a glaring problem) and can often be starved of service, but he just offers next to nothing else. Honestly I'd rather have Rashford up front at the moment.
Regarding the squad without Pogba. It's not even like United have been mindblowing with him in the squad, but when he's not there the quality absolutely takes a nosedive. It really is crazy how missing a single player can have such an impact. Sure City wouldn't be the same without De Bruyne, and Chelsea without Hazard, but their style of play and attacking threat doesn't take such a huge, huge hit like it does with United and Pogba.
Bournemouth were very unlucky not to come away from that with a point, even perhaps a win. However, they didn't and United got the 3 points. Good times.

Pathetic. Almost wanted Bournemouth to equalise so we couldn't gloss over that utter shite with three points. As others have said, this is the big response to being bossed on our own patch by our local rivals?
PATHETIC.

I know some say the 3 points is all that matters and I'd have gone along with that earlier in the season but I expect us to show more fire after putting up such a shit performance at home to the leaders and our local rivals on Sunday.
Missing Pogba is only an acceptable excuse against big teams.

Yeah, I guess it's a little unfair on the defence to label the whole team shit. Jones was brilliant and it's another step in the right direction for Shaw. Young McTominay was solid as well if not spectacular.
