agree with you but lets not forget that he also plays a slightly different role for united. he is way more integrated in the play than he was at everton, which shows through the number of assists so far and the chances he creates for his team mates. He's a striker. If he doesn't score goals then what's the point. sure, just saying...

If I am Rom watching the tape today and I see that, I’m fuming. Easy brace for him if either player pulls their finger out. Just looking at this again...that is two certain goals that went begging... Jose really needs to get them to sort that shit out... Agree. This really bugged me and I've mentioned it a few times. That Pogba one was awful, but he doesn't get a pass, because there was also another move not quite as obvious but also with Lukaku in front of him making a run to goal. The Rashford one was awful too. There were a couple of situations with Martial delivering really poor passes in the box also We get into so many of these situations and then do this type of shit. Stats say grinding out a 1-0 win with two shots on target, but with a bit more composure on the final ball we would have pissed it!

Just watched that goal a few more times and you really have to hand it to Lukaku for the amazing set up. Martial should have run straight to Lukaku instead of the cameras. Lukaku brought a tough ball down with a player on his back, got fouled, turned and skipped through two players, held off a third, cut back inside and pinged a perfect pass across field and through two defenders for Martial. Lukaku now has 11 goals and 5 assists in the league (Morata 10 and 4, Kane 21 and 1). What's the minimum you'd think to qualify as a successful first season? Yeah but if Lukaku got some better service he would have 16/17 goals at least. FFS some basic passing and decision making required of a PL footballer and he could have had a hat trick against Burnley! He still needs to improve, and some of his defending issues are scary but some players around him let him down too

It's that goal haul I will compare him against come May.
