On the off chance that anyone feels the urge to try Tiny Rebel 'Jam Doughnut' pale ale, just don't. It's an abomination unto the lord. Ale is an abomination in itself. Was a local beer festival over the weekend and several ale's on tap, needless to say they were left alone. The cider however, scrumpy went down nicely.

I'm more of a cider drinker as well, being a the good Westcountry boy that I am. I don't mind some ales, but there's so many shit ones about, especially IPA's. Just about every hipster micro brewery makes a shitty, bitter, over-hopped IPA. That Jam Doughnut ale tasted like those crappy hipster IPA's but with that cheap raspberry syrup you get in ice cream vans added to it. Genuinely revolting.

Can't stand so many of them. I haven't met too many people who don't like cider. It's just so wholesome...

How was the deya festival looked class from the pics I seen on Instagram Really good, thanks. Tried lots of stuff. Mikeller's Sponatanquadubble was amazing but at 9.9% not sure it's tinnable haha! Looking into going next year at Verdant, if I don't do FFBF in Feb. Was disappointed with Northern Monk's radler though. Tasted like lemon squash.

Not had much LHG really, surprising given I live a 20 min walk from their Brewpub and Brewery, as for me, they're not the best brewery here. But jad Green Line of theirs a few weeks back, unbelievable stuff IMO, and their Woodland Creatures milk stout is solid too. Had their lager tonight, though that was shite compared to Lost and Grounded who are also Bristol based. IMO, in terms of Bristol breweries, I'd say: Good Chemistry Lost and Grounded LHG Masquerade Moor Croft Ales Wiper and True Fierce and Noble Arbor New Bristol Brewery Bristol Beer Factory Not tried Dawkins. Nor have a I tried any Cocksure since they opened their gaff, rather than brewing in a garage.
