Crazy to think this is our first knockout game in the champions league since 2015 when Evra scored a worldie.

Going by performance against Huddersfield it is likely Lindelof, Smalling and Mata start. Maybe Shaw and McTominay too. I would not be surprised to see Carrick today though. Its dangerous leaving Martial and Lingard out but more mettle in midfield away from home. Matic drops into the back line allowing the wing backs to provide the width.
De God Valencia Smalling Lindelof Shaw Matic McTominay Pogba Mata Rom Sanchez
Martial and Lingard off the bench if and when we need them. It's not ideal but Mata still performs best on the right. His link up play is still among our best.

We all know Jose values experience in these types of games, so I expect to see Young over Shaw. I can see Jose going with 3 CBs in a game like this. He will prioritize not conceding and hitting Sevilla on the break.

Hoping for a three man midfield but not holding my breath.

I think we all know well enough that from here on in in this competition it matters not a jot what kind of performance we put it, it's entirely about the result. For reference go back and watch our away semi in Barcelona, where arguably our finest ever side played like the bastard child of a Jack Charlton/Graham Taylor international team. Fuckin loved it too ;-) We played a lot of hard to watch football away in Europe over the years. As long as we keep playing in Europe I think I'll be happy. But boy the joy when it comes good eh !!! I'm happy with any away win in Europe. enjoy the game folks. Actually we played both legs like that. The away semi we started very well and didn't take some great chances, including Ronnies missed penalty in the opening 15 mins. I was at the home tie and the final. The home semi was an incredible defensive performance after Scholes cracker. The closer it got to the 90 the louder the crowd got and it was electric. Brown, Rio and Hargreaves were excellent. The first half in the final we blew them away and should have been 3 up, but the second half and most of extra time was backs to the wall. You really do have to dig in to win this competition and defend like Champions obviously

This lot are a really hard team to predict. They are the most inconsistent lot you can imagine, but a really great Cup knockout side and already in the Copa Del Rey final
