I'm not a Swansea fan but their manager is so likeable that I hope they survive relegation.

good 60-70 minutes, sanchez scores, rom scores again, lingard in hot form, DDG once again shows he is the best in the world, pogba looked solid, lindelof also looking good. nothing to complain about

Seven-page match thread. Really not much to say or complain

Mata should start each game. Without him there is a complete disconnect between the forwards and the midfield.

Jose said he thinks internationals are to blame for the “tired” second half. Fair enough, makes sense.

Finally watched the game now. Not much more to add to what I've seen on here.
First half was excellent. Lingard grows in stature every week, absolutely brimming with confidence at the minute and consistently affecting games.
Second half was extremely laboured and anyone doubting the importance of De Gea in the future needs to have a word with themselves. With a lesser keeper yesterday, Swansea would've pulled one back and would've also had the momentum to go and get that equaliser. No doubt in my mind that he's still our most important player.

Dave's the best in the business, but with all due respect we should be able to see off this poor Swansea side with Fred the Red in goal

Who doubted De Gea? There were a few comments the other day insinuating that the notion he wins us games is nonsense, it completely isn't. It shouldn't be that way, we should've been 3/4 up before he had to make saves yesterday but the fact is we weren't and he saved us having a nervy end to the game.

We always give them a chance, which is why De Gea is hugely important.

Although it was comfortable enough we seem to have an inability to keep going for more than 45 minutes. If we're leading at half time guaranteed we sit further back. Need that to change.
Why is it that any team in the top 6 doesnt seem to have an problem going for more except us? Fuck sitting back, go for more every time, that's the way we should be playing, none of this over elaborate tippy tappy shit.
City, Liverpool, Arsenal, Spurs to name a few all keep going. We sit back and invite teams to get back into games, we've seen it several times this season.
Yesterday we should have scored at least 4 but we seemed content with 2. Not complaining too much as it was a reasonbly comfortable win but without Dave it could have been far less convincing and possibly more worrying.
Don't settle for any amount of goals, keep going until you run out of time to score.
Without Dave this season we wouldn't be in the top 4. Therefore give the guy a blank sheet of paper to write a figure down and pay him whatever he wants.
