Not every game. Just this one because Smalling has been crap. If Jones isn't ready to start then so be it. But I doubt we'll get confirmation of that. So a player who has played in all of those games against decent opposition gets dropped for a player who is regularly in and out of the team due to injury and also scored 2 important goals during two of those games where we had to come back from 2 nil down? How does that make sense? Because for the most part, I think a lot of the time Smalling did not play overly well despite those wins. I think Bailly has had several poor games this season too. Smalling also started against Spurs, Newcastle and Sevilla, should he have been dropped after those awful performances? (For the record, he started the next game after all three.) |
