First 4 seasons of lost were great. Yeah I have been tempted. Still trying to motivate myself to watch the last couple of seasons of Dexter tbh. The ending to Dexter is still the worst in TV. Way worse than How I Met Your Mother or The Sopranos.

How I Met Your Mother was worse and you know it.

How I Met Your Mother was worse and you know it. I maintain that HIMYM was an ok idea that was just executed appallingly. But Dexter... just a complete mess.

We do differ on that but I won't argue against yours. IMO Young has been decent at LB. But he's been found out on a number of occasions, nobody is more proud of how he dealt with the vermin than I am but hes not a recognised left back, nor is he getting any younger and we need to realise that. IMO Shaw is more than good enough, he just needs a good run of games (something he started to get before he was unjustifiably dropped and we havent seen anything from him since). I could almost guarantee you if he leaves in the summer wherever he goes he will turn into a solid class left back. I may be a small number that thinks it but I'll be gutted if he goes in the summer because I can see the potential there. I'd not be surprised to see both Shaw and Martial both leave this Summer for under £100m combined and then both go on to be the best players in their positions in the world I don't see Martial ever being that player. He's one of the most frustrating players in our squad which is sad because he has all the tools. There is zero difference in his game now from when we signed him and when he gets a chance in the side he rarely takes it. Id have Rashford everyday of the week over him. When he gets a chance he normally makes it count. With Mourinho you have to make yourself undroppable. It's a mental thing with Martial for me, he just seems to be a delicate snowflake at times like a lot of players in this squad.

Both were clearly written to match an idea for a finale that by the time we got there was just wrong for the context of the show's progression.

Edit: note how the old men in the pub are drinking water due to advertising restrictions... Jesus Christ!! Bellend FC is correct! Pretty much speechless after that!

Both were clearly written to match an idea for a finale that by the time we got there was just wrong for the context of the show's progression. That's fair. It's definitely true that HIMYM's finale would have worked better if it ended after 4/5 seasons. By the time it ended the show had moved on from how strong Ted and Robin's connection was. I remember back around season 4 people kept saying what a shame it was that she couldn't be the mother because of how great their chemistry was, so it could have worked then. By season 8 people had moved on.
Combine that with not enough time for the viewer to mourn the mother, not enough footage of Ted showing how much he loved her (there were deleted scenes of him doing this in various ways, such as being inconsolable at her funeral, that absolutely should have stayed in) and a lot of the first half of season 9 being wasted (forcing the second half to feel rushed) and you have the mess that was the ending.
