The year is 1938. Germany leaving the pitch after being defeated 4-2 by Switzerland. Place? Parc des Princes, 2 years and one month before the nazi occupation. 10 days left! And yes, I'll bore you with World Cup facts I like or find interesting.
Minus the swastica, i like that kit. (deleted my other post as I quoted the wrong one for some reason )

Kyle Martino is a very good pundit. Knows the game inside out.

cant help but love the guy. a very, very smart man and despite not being blessed with the talent of ronaldo, messi or even some others,he gives his all for the shirt, seems to love the club and is probably ahead of most others at united in terms of work ethic, desire and hunger for trophies. i have no problems whatsoever going with him as our main striker in the coming years, just hope rashford or a new signing step up to be ready if big rom needs a break. class lad.

The year is 1974. Apparently this is a rare image of Yugoslavia's last goal on their 9-0 demolition of Zaire. This was at the time the biggest World Cup win ever (alongside Hungary vs South Korea, 1954). As you can see, the goalkeeper is not very happy. 34 years ago. Neither country exists the way they did before. 8 days!

Kyle Martino is a very good pundit. Knows the game inside out. Pretty sure that's sarcasm there, but if it's not, I *do* like Martino as a pundit and I liked him as a player. Not sarcasm. I genuinely like him as a pundit. Better than most of the dross we get on UK tv. Should be given a ho over here over the World Cup.

I was searching for the 2014 world cup thread on this forum, absolutely could not find it. Wanted to see how many people picked Germany over Brazil to win it before the tournament. I remember predicting Brazil to lift the trophy with utmost confidence, only to see Germany humiliate them.

Skybet have a decent offer on at the moment. Back a team to win the World Cup (upto £10 max stake) and they'll give you your money back as a free bet if they get knocked out.
I've stuck my £10 on Germany to retain. Backed France for the last 3 tournaments and they keep letting me down, so jumped ship to the Germans. Which means France will almost certainly win it.

I don't think you can add a poll to an existing thread
