Expecting and hoping he looks very sharp during pre-season. Hopefully he feels like he has something to prove and rediscovers some old form.

I love Matic. Hoping Fred and him make a great partnership.

Match today very different than CA match. Early season, expected rust, but an enjoyable match to watc
Really like Chong. Quick, excellent sense of where everyone on the pitch is, plays much older than his age. Could be a special player for United.

A scoreless draw. San Jose started what one announcer called "Basically their first team" against a very young United Side. Juan wore the Cap armband I just enjoyed the football an didn't take much away from it. Good to see a match again.

Idk about you, but to play vs the scousers on a tour match isn't my cup of tea. It's a Derby and should always be seen as such which doesn't match the point of pre-season matchdays (money aside) I hate it as well.

This fixture should never be a pretty season friendly.

So Matic is joining the tour. Why not Fred?
Don't understand Mourinho's logic sometimes.

He also didn't have a break after the season in Ukraine was over. Even if he hasn't played, he wasn't exactly sipping margaritas by the pool in Russia.

Even if he hasn't played, he wasn't exactly sipping margaritas by the pool in Russia. Not saying he wasn't. All I'm saying is if he's calling players that have played in the world cup to the tour then it would be nice to call up players that need the preparation more, Fred being one of those. Plus I'm anxious to see what the lad is like. His logic at times doesnt make sense.

One plus is that Lee Grant has looked a better 'keeper than Karius

Fred finished up around 6th July. His 3 week break ends this Friday, give or take a day or two. Christ, there really is no winning with some people. If they didn't get a break the manager would be slaughtered too.
