Lads are absolutely knackered and only 2 outfield players switched. Very odd. If it stays 1-1 it goes to penalties

Cant see the point in only 3 changes, one coming in the 89th minute. Lads are fucked, thought there would have been more changes.

Lovely assistant from Mata for our goal. Nice calm finish from Alexis although Donnarumma sbould have done better.
Our defending for the Milan goal though, good god, if this is how our defending is going to be then I do fear for the season ahead. Woeful is an understatement.

Considering first half it was so hot it is weird they had the lads put in such a long shift. Last 20 we should've thrown on all the younglings.

Jesus Christ thank fuck for that, 26 penalties later and I can finally go to bed now  . Most bizarre penalty shootout I've seen. If only Smalling took his when he was supposed to. Shootout felt longer than the game itself. |

The goal we scored was a beauty and Sanchez has looked very sharp and hungry so far. Hope that's a sign of things to come from him this season (on the right). I actually thought we played some decent stuff at times, though the defence left a lot to be desired.
I know 3-5-2 was probably only picked because of the personnel we had but I think it could work for us and the squad we have when everyone is fit.

21,700 attendance?
I think United fans are staying away in their droves, we most certainly would have got a bigger turnout of fans on previous tours over the years.

Night and day difference going forward. Wouldn’t mind seeing us play 3 at the back again. Think it could suit us well. Especially if we add a full back.
Andreas had a fantastic game, again. I’ll be in Michigan for Saturday more of the same please. Looked like a mobile version of Carrick tonight.

I’ve been harsh (justifiably imo) on Sanchez but the signs are far more positive so far. He looks like the player we hoped we were signing in January. Hopefully he can keep it up because hes badly needed.
