The Oil clubs like City will pull away even further from us in this pandemic.

Am I the only one who is absolutely embarrassed that we have fucking TeamViewer on our shirts? TBH I'm ebarrassed for all football teams that have any sponsor on the shirts. If I ran football it'd be banned, along with short-corners.

Nope. What a debacle

If nothing else, a drop in sponsorship money for the shirt might wake some of these pricks up and question what it takes to actually create a lucrative 'sports brand'...
Ha.

Let’s be honest it doesn’t take Einstein to work out that the deal with whomever would have been lower. Lost appeal as we just don’t win as much and as a result aren’t as sexy, COVID has hit businesses hard and let’s remember the guy that signed the Chevy deal got sacked as it was far far too high at the time Ogden said as much on twitter. Most normal Utd fans said fair play but it seems that Ed has some ardent supporters who piled on and gave Mark some serious grief. As a complete aside, has anyone ever heard of bots?

The kind of bots that can flood twitter with positive or negative comments? of course

Hahaha commercial genius Ed.
I work in tech and no-one has heard of these localised nonentities.
Even with Covid etc, if we had professionals in place rather than the clowns appointed by the slum landlords, a club with the stature of United could have got a way better partner locked in.
But then again, it’s the commercial equivalent of getting Ole in as manager, so at least these imbeciles are consistent.

It's sad that plenty of people would see a modern football shirt without a company logo as the biggest thing on the middle of it and say it's weird looking. The money-wringing is so normalised it's actually breathtaking when you stop and think about it.

My son’s eight and it has been a struggle to stop him joining his City-supporting mates. However like the rest of us he’s now locked in to the pain cycle, which he wears as a badge of honour 😂. But going back to your point, I actually meant financial standing which is still way up there in terms of commercial leverage. Anyone can probably find an official kimchi sponsor (no disrespect intended to anyone btw) but given our financials even after the last few years you’d think Ed, sitting in his Mayfair office, would be talking to the likes of Salesforce or Oracle, let alone one of the household tech names. Instead we get a weird and relatively niche German platform. Also AR is bollocks.

“Oh, we had way higher offers than this, we just chose to accept a lower one. It’s not a failure at all.” Classic Ashton on Ed’s behalf.
I guess I shouldn’t be surprised. A brand no one has ever heard of fits perfectly with the Glazers’ long-term vision to reduce the club to nothingness.

I don’t really give a shit who sponsors us within reason. Find it hard to believe there’ll be rival fans out there giving it “oh my god, nobody has ever heard of your shirt sponsor”. That’s surely the point in a company paying a big wedge to have their logo on your shirt isn’t it?
I do care about whether or not the logo is aesthetically a mess. But mainly I’m always interested in the financial aspect of it and in this case the spin is particularly interesting. Surely not a single soul is being fooled by “we were actually offered more money but turned it down”.
Lads, I could’ve pulled Gal Gadot, absolutely no bother, she was bang up for it. But in the end, Gemma Collins was just much more beautiful on the inside, so I took her home instead.

The aesthetic upside to this is we are finally rid of that wretched giant Chevrolet 'bowtie' abomination.
