Ffs could this actually happen? The shares hike suggests it could. We maybe going down a road none of us want. Shares are like betting odds. Going up may be an indicator but their value going up doesn't mean it is any more or less likely. Not really.

The shares hike suggests it could. We maybe going down a road none of us want. If the (so called) MBS wants the club £4 Billion quid is chump change. United's co-owners know that they will have to tread carefully as the Crown Prince is embroiled in a tense diplomatic row over the death of journalist Jamal Khashoggi. Yeah I think I'll keep Woody thanks. As far as I know he's never ordered anyone to chop someone up with a fucking bonesaw. How do we as a club come back from that?

Positives from this outcome
No debt Club not being run to line someone's pockets only We can actually spend some money on the stadium The rest of the league will be bricking it, especially the two lottery winning shits. The press will be shown up as hypocrites for toadying up to City with their dodgy owners and criticising the Saudis, which they will do United have always been self made millionaires. Nothing will ever change that. Ed will be fired out on his arse

They'd probably love him though given it's a vanity project. He'd just hand them the Ballon d'or shortlist.

If the Saudis are to take over, they best have a plan in place they best have proper football people in place, no point just chucking money at everything. If they are going to do it they best do it proper from the bottom of the club all the way to the top, staff scouting training center stadium ect. And getting rid of ed and the gimps is a start

I like the one we've got but it needs an upgrade. 13 years with little investment and it shows. The debt would be gone. United is a goldmine even for owners who don't see it like a cash cow like the Glazers. We don't need 10 new players either just those moving on who aren't good enough/finished. No Ed pulling the transfer strings, wanking over 'names'rather than what we need.

www.theguardian.com/football/2018/oct/21/glazer-family-have-no-immediate-intention-to-sell-manchester-united?CMP=share_btn_twManchester United’s owners, the Glazer family, have no immediate intentions to sell the club, or even a stake in it. Rumours first began to circulate around a week ago that the Glazers, United’s owners since 2005, were considering a takeover bid from Mohammed bin Salman, the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, with reports on Saturday suggesting an offer in the region of £4bn was to be discussed between both parties in the next couple of weeks. That, however, appears to be somewhat off the mark given the decision of Avram Glazer, United’s co-owner, to pull out of an upcoming investment forum in Saudi Arabia amid the diplomatic fallout caused by the recent death of journalist Jamal Khashoggi at the Saudi consulate in Istanbul. More broadly, the Guardian understands there little, if any, appetite within the Old Trafford hierarchy for a change of ownership. The initial rumours of a potential Saudi takeover led to United’s share price reaching an all-time high on the on the New York Stock Exchange of $27.65, with Forbes valuing the club at around at £3.2bn. The Glazers’s 13-year ownership of United has been marked by controversy ever since Malcolm Glazer, the head of the family, took control of the 20-times champions of England by leveraging it with a £500m-plus debt. The takeover has gone onto drain £1bn in interest, costs, fees and dividends out of United, with the club continuing to financially serve the six Glazer siblings, who collectively own 97% of United’s voting shares following the death of their father in May 2014, every year.

I think this is the time to sell though. There's only so long you can milk an underperforming 'product'. The stadium won't modernise itself, it's just putting off the inevitable and there's also a risk you price yourself out of a deal in the future by by being a greedy grasping twat.

Oil. PS As unedifying the thought of this takeover may be, football and morality parted company a long time ago.

EVERYTHING has a price, and if MBS wants the club he will have it, even if he has to buy the banks that own the debt, and give those fucks in Florida £Eleventy Squillion, still a horrible thought though, given their problems in Turkey.Just doesn’t sit right, no matter which few Saudi minions get chucked under the bus.

You know what, it could be easier for them to buy the finance houses that loans are still owned to and squeeze them out by calling in the debt.
