Positives being its a win to end a frustrating tour. Should give the lads some sort of confidence boost providing it isn't grounded some how.
What I have noticed in all of the tour games is the opposition have pretty much changed their entire sides during the game, we've managed to make 2 or 3. I'm glad certain plauers have had good run outs especially Pereira but I thought the whole point of this tour was to see more of the youngsters so a bit disappointed not to see more of them really.
All in all I'm glad the tour is over and we can start to look towards the season ahead. I'll give it time to see how we need in as gloomy as its looking right now. Going into the season like we are is just going to make it unbearable so should try to look at it as best we can and hope we bring in somebody before the 9th.

Would it have killed him to play the kids? In a meaningless friendly? I didn't see the match, did any of them get on at the end? Tuanzebe got 20 minutes. Mitchell had 10 minutes. Garner had 7 minutes. The only changes we made during the game. Real made 11. |

Considering they played with Isco, Nacho, Bale, Kroos and Benzema it was actually a good result.

I know its preseason etc but I’m concerned about Bailly. He’s been godawful all tour. I keep reading that he’s our best CB but I seem to be watching completely different games.

The 2 real positives of the tour were:
Sanchez. At last the real one has arrived. He’s played most of the tour centrally and has really delivered.
Perreria. Cracking tour. Has done everything asked of him. Has to be involved in the first team from now on.

Have to take into consideration it was the first game of Madrid's pre-season and they made a heap of changes during the game but we played some good stuff in the first half and the 2 goals were both excellent.
At this point I'm not that concerned if he's not playing a load of kids. For me he should be getting minutes into the players expected to feature in 9 days time.
I see he tried to be positive about his players in his post match comments as well. Still ended up talking a load of shit in and around it but it's a change of tact to just insulting them all.

Both of them played as though these were properly competitive games, rather than warm up friendlies. My only concern is that when business really starts Sanchez is shunted out to the left again. |

Our best centre half is Smalling, whether people want to admit it or not. He's dog eggs at actual football, but we don't have a better backs to the wall defender. |

I'll be fucking livid if Pereira doesn't get a proper shot this season and isn't just playing as a makeshift holding midfielder until Matic is fit.
He's earned his chance.

I just don't think there's room for him in the centre in our team as it stands (surely Matic-Pogba-Fred is the middle 3), but if he split his time between the right and the centre it may work (i.e. nominally a RW but cutting in to overload the middle whilst Tony V/Dalot overlap). |

He also said after the game that Lindelof will be back and that Lukaku, Rashford and Jones are returning 3 days early from their holiday for the team. Probably a dig in there at Pogba and Lingard for not doing the same!
I know Rashford and Jones didn't play a lot but Lukaku played as much as the other 2.
