There’s a lot that could potentially be read into here... Or he could just be referring to being tired from the World Cup still? #BlindOptimism I mean, no doubt someone will tell me I'm wrong and reading it wrong but to me that just says I don't want to be here but I'll still give my best on the pitch.
I am very much a pessimist though.
I think that’s the most obvious interpretation.

On an app called sofascore. Very good for individual stats. Awesome app ! Thanks for the tip. That app detailed Sanchez's malaise, but it also showed that he had 4 key passes and 1 big chance created. Next closest was Mata with 2 key passes, that's it. He was also our most fouled player with 3 fouls on him, which probably indicated what the opposition thought of him as well. So while he was extremely wasteful, he was also our most creative player. I think he was pretty bad at giving the ball away at Arsenal by all accounts but it's not something I noticed then.

This is really poor, bar the occasional flash. As someone pointed out, late era Rooney was a great man for stat-padding with an assist or a goal in a game that he’d stunk the joint out. Sanchez has physically looked after himself much better but the style of play is becoming increasingly familiar. If he continues to struggle (despite playing every minute of every game) China or America should beckon. But it won’t.

If Martial ever played one game as bad as Sanchez has played several, he'd be lynched, or sold for a fiver.

I think we have nearly 9 days until our next match? That’ll really help with players returning and getting the fitness levels up. Rashford and Rom will be along, hopefully Jesse is on the bench.

It really was an insane level of performance from Pogba considering he hasn't kicked a ball since the World Cup final.

It really was an insane level of performance from Pogba considering he hasn't kicked a ball since the World Cup final. As I said during it, he looked gassed around 35 minutes, which was perfectly understandable. He got to HT, got his 2nd wind and was outstanding again. Incredible stuff, a phenomenal athlete.

And for someone who is overweight, lazy in training and lacking in desire to make it at Utd, Shaw isn’t half popular with his team mates.

i`ve seen that some people are already worried about lukakus performance last night. i`m not, not at all, not slightly worried. came for the last what, 20mins? had a fantastic world cup, a break, barely kicked a ball since then. should have scored that one chance but other than that, lukaku will be more than fine. give some of the players time to arrive and train properly before you judge.

Aye, they've all been on social media saying how pleased they are for him. May also be a sign that plenty of them didn't think the treatment of him by Mourinho last season was fair.

We are not supposed to be grateful that he is putting an effort, no matter what is going on. Excellent performance and all, but he was wearing the armband, and the captain of Manchester United should give his best to the club too

He's telling us he always puts the effort in, despite people saying otherwise. Like his fucking manager...The one person he didnt mention in that post.

He should have scored, though it was a marvelous save. Anyone judging anything else after last night knows literally nothing about football and how a summer break works.
