Martial should be absolutely raring to go, regardless of if he gets on with the manager. full pre-season under his belt. He buggered off for family reasons so I wouldn't call it a full pre-season personally. I thought that was sarcasm by Caino...if not, sorry I was LOL at your post.

Considering shipping Sanchez in FPL - I hedged my bets man, really want him to do well but he was so awful against Leicester.
Thoughts? Or are we expecting him to just keep starting and nipping in with the odd goal. His first touch and general link-up play was Falcao-esque at times.
I get the impression he needs an entire team to play through him, hence Arsenal's almost Messi-like reliance on him before he left.

I expect most of the World Cup guys should be fit now. I certainly hope so considering how off the pace Lukaku and Rashford looked against Leicester. Kyle Walker had just two and half weeks break after the world cup , did just 3 days training and looked unbelievably quick on Sunday. Pogba also looked excellent after having almost no pre-season whatsoever, but they're very much exceptions to the rule. I didn't expect Rashford or Lukaku to be fit last week, and they weren't. I think there's a good chance they might be for this game 9 days later though, but they may also not quite be yet.

In my defence, I had this down as a non-skyjacked game, and a sure-fire 3pm Saturday KO when the fixtures were announced, and purchased a wrestling ticket accordingly.

I think our first few games are always on TV aren't they? An easier way to guarantee viewers when the stakes feel lower at the start of the season.

Also big teams' games early in the season against lesser sides get picked for quota-filling. TV deal obliges Sky and BT to show each team a minimum number of times across the season. They get to show us/other top six clubs, and boost the quota of some non-event team.
