I must admit, Mata's blog is really rather irritating after such a shambolic performance but I wouldn't expect him to not do it after such a defeat as that would seem fickle. Just don't read it.

I don't think he should be that important a player for us anymore anyway. I said a few weeks back that he shouldn't be a starter but still believe he'd be a very good option from the bench if we played any semblance of quality football, you know, instead of throwing on Fellaini and playing ultra hoofball.

If we're not going to play Sanchez on the right, then it needs to be Lingard or Pereira.
