Zidane has player pulling power. we don't know if he can manage average players, but Pep couldn't, shown in his first season. what these managers can do is attract top players and get the very best out of top players. which is exactly what we need. C'mon, now. You know you want to see what Zidane could do with Fellaini, admit it! yeh.... sell him

Hirving Lozano was available for the last few years, at a probable low rate at first. He plays on the right, he looks progressively impressive, and he’s young. We were linked with him each summer and he even welcomed the move.

imagine if we singed him for a couple of quid as a youngster when a lot could see the potential that was there. I would very much like to sign him though.

11 players have contracts expiring this year 6 of them are aged between 28-33 others include the likes of Darmian and Jones. Therefore some big decisions and smart decsisions need to be made rather than short sighted ones
We should be cutting 6 or seven players to make room for better players and youngsters, but a mixture of Mourinho and some dumb attempt to offer contracts to maintain sell on value will result in another shit show

Jones needs to go. I think hes a decent defender but cannot stay healthy. Reminds me of Saha. Would probably go and have a good career at a smaller club.

You see, to me that is totally illogical...why would he get less injured at a smaller club? Less games (Champs League, cups, etc) Less travel, including less high profile pre season friendlies. Look at Everton who played a 5th tier Austrian team while we played Real Madrid. Less pressure to compete in training. Right now as bad as our defence is, he is trying to compete with 4 other CBs. None of which have nailed on the starters jersey. Literally everything to play for.

True but surely I'm not the only one who remembers the mess of him rushing back from injury to make the 06 World Cup only to leave the Cup in much worse condition? He did go on to have 2 30+ game seasons at Newcastle before playing 30 odd times for us in his first season. You are correct though as he was a shell of his former self. My earlier example was Saha who ended up having 4 decent years with Everton after leaving us. Considering he left us at 29 years old, it was a pleasant surprise he did so well into his 30s. I reckon Jones would do pretty well at a lower level. I don't think he would ever play a full season, not with chronic shin splints, but I do believe he would play 30 games or so.

Spurs being strongly linked with Frenkie De Jong from Ajax this morning. I'd be all over him. Fantastic talent.
