Spurs being strongly linked with Frenkie De Jong from Ajax this morning. I'd be all over him. Fantastic talent. Typical. We suck. Ed probably needs to weigh up a value for shirts assessment before he even thinks about putting a bid together.

Rumour about Ozil being available in Jan doing the rounds, apparently Fenerbahce are interested as well.
You'd imagine Mourinho would be in for him, and that he'd prefer a move to United; I know he has Turkish heritage but staying in the Premier League, for loads of money, at Man United would be a major pull. He could still go to Turkey when he's older.

Goodness. Another aging attacker that plays with no urgency. Sounds like a Mourinho player.

Luke Shaw, Ashley Young, Juan Mata and Ander Herrera are free to talk with rival clubs in the January transfer window...
I could genuinely see us losing 3 of the 4 for nothing given the incompetence of Ed, and them hating the manager.
Young might want a swansong somewhere else, but he'd be the most likely to stay.

Shaw being in the form he's in I reckon has been his saving grace. Think he'll stay unless Mourinho manages to fuck that up between now and then. Hopefully they'll offer him an extension. Don't think any will leave in January but can see at least one or two going in the summer if things stay as they are off the pitch.

They can negotiate with whomever they want, and that also backs Woodward into a corner. They can ask for whatever they want and he either has to give it to them or lose the asset.

So going on Woodwards ability to get deals done we're losing all 4 then

I wonder who will be presiding over this January's fiasco, given Woodward's track record, you would assume it's highly unlikely that a DOF would be in place by then.

I think Shaw has played his hand very well, for himself anyway. Can't blame him but all this talk of wanting to earn a new deal rather than just be offered one when he knows he can talk to anyone he wants in January is bollocks.
