The enjoyment aspect of the sport is getting sucked dry. Just becoming a rich persons plaything now.

Wife & I are going to the Edinburgh Derby on Saturday, only ever done Rangers away in the ECL North of the Border.
I assume this will be a fairly typical same city Derby & could be quite tasty, despite the football being pretty shite.

Just booked a cheeky half term trip (I'm a teacher). Flying down to Nice for Nice v Marseille on Sat 21st then the following morning flying Nice up to Nantes for Nantes v Montpellier on the Sunday. All just for shits and giggles.

Who could have ever foreseen Jose would have 2 decent seasons then it would all go to shit in his 3rd and he'd be sacked.
Of course United were wrong to get rid though, he just need more time. Just the last 4 jobs he's been sacked from now.

A bit unfair to Jose. His transfer budget the last few seasons has been about £10m a year. He stretched it as far as he could with free transfers for Matic, Dybala, Belotti and a loan deal for Lukaku and Sanches. But that only gets you so far as we know from experience and Roma are basically the West Ham of Italy and as we saw with Ancelotti at Everton it is not always easy for a big manager to manage an average club (and vice versa as we discovered with Moyes).
He remains the most successful manager of the post-Fergie era winning 2 major trophies and achieving our highest points total of 81. But we stopped backing him in the transfer market forcing Alexis Sanchez and Fred on him and refusing to strengthen defence and refusing to sell Martial (and Jose hinted that there were other players he said he wanted to get rid of but wasn't allowed to that are still at the club) and took Pogba's side when Jose and Pogba had a spat when really Pogba should have got the Sancho treatment and been carted out of the club.
Erik was brought in with the idea that he could be a long-term manager and build a successful team. But that isn't exactly working out. And while his first season was good this season has been a disaster.

Sorry but Jose has to learn to deal with his frustrations abit better. 6 months, that's all he had to hold himself for then walk away.
How many clubs can he realistically go to that will give him the sums he would like every window? Not many.
When on form the man is a character like no other, on a personal level he is a good guy buy he loses his head and that has added to his struggles over the years
