Some of it is on the manager. Fergie and Jose had no problem organizing a makeshift defence so it didn't leak goals the way ours does. Erik wants to play from the back and press from the front and so on and so forth. But this season we don't seem capable of doing the absolute basics. He does hold some of the blame. But atm I do have a bit of sympathy for him with the players we have available. We're playing with a make shift left back, a right back that is nowhere near good enough. Lindelof has been poor so far this season aswell. All of our best defenders besides Varane are all out injured. We need Shaw and Wan Bissaka back ASAP. Varane is a cert to breakdown again. We've signed him when now injury prone. Martinez is a massive loss.

Martinez is a massive loss. Even he's been off the boil this season, presuming his injury was a part of that though. Midfield and attack I'm more inclined to criticise Ten Hag more for, but defence he hasn't really got a lot of options atm. The only thing I'd do until certain players come back is move Dalot to the left and out Lindelof on the right. It's not ideal but is better than what we're currently fielding.

This Newcastle pen everyone is up in arms about, didn't the same thing happen to us with Martinez when the ball hit his body first then his arm, i don't quite remember the same amount of fuss being made about that one, amazing the difference when the beloved Geordies!

Off the leg and onto the arm I think, but same principle. Not as high profile a fixture either, mind.

Different rules for us though. Same goes for injuries. Newcastle and Spurs are being dealt blows. We just have to get on with it.

At least Newcastle finished bottom too. Small comforts and all that.

The European Court judgement just announced might scupper the Ineos deal. Utd's valuation can probably be at least doubled now.

Did the FA ban all clubs from participating in the super league last summer? I read somewhere that the FA and all Premier League clubs signed a document preventing any english clubs from joining it. If English clubs can't join, it's dead anyway.

Money talks - just watch it unfold. LIV golf will look like a cheap practice run.

United have confirmed that their position is the same and they won’t be participating.
