So ? You want Martial back there ? Fucking waster couldn't be bothered turning up against Brighton.. Aye, it was just Martials fault. Nevermind that he knows he will be scapegoated after an hour in the managers mind. Pogba, Bailly, Lindelof, Mata etc all had shockers. Martial deserves an arm round his shoulder from the manager saying that he gets a run of games regardless. Instead of this occasional hour and then a slagging off in the media. No one is blaming just Martial. Every single one of them was an embarassment to the shirt. However, we can't keep making excuses for the lad.

Martial was responsible for his own shite performance on the left flank . The others playing shite should have no impact on his own performance. He was wank and showed no desire . He does not look like he wants to be here from that performance. If he tried hard and failed, I'd have no complaints. But he didn't even bother showing up . He needs to look at Luke , the lad's shown a superb attitude amidst all his struggles with the manager. Playing for the shirt - Shaw's been doing that.

Sanchez, Valencia, Dalot and Matic all trained well leading up to this game. That's Sanchez back on the left then. So ? You want Martial back there ? Fucking waster couldn't be bothered turning up against Brighton.. First game back of the season. I can let him off to a certain degree for one shit game, if he produces that again then drop him. They were all shit so based on that lets drop them all then. Sanchez has been doing constantly shit since he's been at the club so he's the last person I want to see starting on Monday night.

Criticized for his effort and his willingness. All of that should have produced some kind of response. Nope. It gave the same limp dick showing as the rest of those wasters. He should have had special impetus to show something special. He chose to do nothing. All that talent, zero application and will to do something with it. No matter how shit Alexis is, he still keeps motoring, keeps trying and you can see that. I'll take a shit Alexis over an invisible Martial any day of the week.

Got to say I agree martial shows flashes of brilliance but his attitude and effort suck, Shaw is fighting for his place martial isn't.
Sanches at least puts in the effort and hopefully he will come good I just think he needs to be played in the right position with the right players round him.
I'm Not confident of a result but I am hopefully . Hopefully if we smash spurs some of this negativity will disappear. Lose and expect a shit storm.

Not defending the guy but perhaps being publicly slated by his manager has rocked his confidence. I agree there's no excuse for that performance but I refuse to single any player out from Sundays shit show Martial and Mata have bared the brunt of the shit. There's been more said about Martial and Mata than about Bailly which says it all. Martial is the same as Pogba, flashes of potential but nowhere near enough but you surely can't be calling for the guy to be dropped after one game and want Sanchez to come back in when hes been fucking dreadful week in week out since he's been at the club. His attitude was terrible yes but then so was everyone else's. Lets drop Fred or Pereira and play Fellaini then. Lets drop Rom and play Rashford up front where he will no doubt do fuck all again and escape criticism for it. Sanchez for all his faults is a work horse and doesn't stop running but it means fuck all if he can't complete a simple pass. He's set a new world record for giving the ball away so running around like he's on fire doesnt have the same impact.

Grief. Hoping for Smalling to play 'for stability'. How far our standards have fallen.

Grief. Hoping for Smalling to play 'for stability'. How far our standards have fallen. Sadly its true. Goes to show how dire our ever rotating defence is. He seems our best option right now. Although after seeing Axel so far this season for Villa its a shame we didn't give him a chance.

I'd stick with Bailly and Lindelof. If you have faith in a central defensive pair, you don't drop them because of one bad performance. Give them the chance to improve and form a partnership, that was still only the 2nd game they've ever started together IIRC.
Continually chopping and changing your defence is more of a hindrance than a help, need some consistancy and continuity in there.
