lingard, rashford and martial will get their goals eventually. sanchez is the really worrying one,he should be our 2nd highest goalscorer by miles He should but that doesn't solve the issue of a chronic lack of goals from elsewhere. Its not like they don't have chances either. Our finishing generally is poor. The Spurs game is a case in point. The Fa cup final is another. Aguero etc bags his one chance when nobody else is scoring, Lukaku seems to miss one banker every game

Do you trust Rashford and Martial over him? Had he been fit for the Fa cup I think we would have won.

Martial and Rashford were chipping in with plenty early on last season before they got benched for Sanchez.

We should have someone better but we've not. Martial is our most natural finisher IMO but he's never gonna get a shot up front for a period of games for varying reasons.

I do trust Rashford over Sanchez though, which is more relevant.

Martial, Rashford and Lukaku all have devastating pace, they can finish so I think they'd link up nicely together.

I banged the Martial drum (and I still think him being dropped unfairly for Sanchez was a terrible piece of management) but he’s not arsed this season. Rashford puts in a shift, which is pretty much all Sanchez has going for him, but also is a better goal threat. He’s not Giggs but he will improve. Sanchez is only going one way, a blind man can see it.

Remember one where he stood still and waited for the ball to roll to him instead of going to it. However he switched to the left and he was completely different.

I’d also advocate something for a home banker:
4-4-2.
Dalot at RB, push Tony V up to RW. Give it a half, who knows. At least we’d have pace there.

Shock/Horror...The few times Sanchez switched to the right he actually looked threatening too.

Sanchez so far in his Utd career. Bear in mind he turns 30 in a few months.
22 games
3 goals
6 assists.
That’s terrible.

Could be worth a shot, I just think Valencia's attacking instincts have long gone to shit, though maybe that would change if given the freedom to not worry so much about the defensive side. Just did a quick google on his International appearances and it seems he does often still play RW for Ecuador so maybe he's still got it.

Anyway- I still think there are positive signs re our speed of play. It’s only coming in bursts at the moment but I think we have to give Carrick and McKenna credit. We probably also have to give them some more time. I love your optimism but I think as long as he stays we will never get going. They had more attempts and shots on target than we did and Dave pulled off two maybe three astonishing saves and their forwards were kinda shit yesterday. How many times did they break with time walking through our midfield, but they always ended up with the wrong pass getting the ball stuck under their feet. Doucoure was the outstanding MF player yesterday another excellent MF player bought from France for pittance also scored 8 goals last year. It was hoof ball and some last minute defending and great goalkeeping. I don't remember much speed of play a few breaks at the end when they were really stretched looking for the goal. A well executed set piece and poor defending from a cross and Lukaku scored with his cock. Matic is looking his age and isn't fit, Pogba looks distracted to say the least and Fellaini gets MOTM for winning a couple of headers and barging. He gave the ball away from nothing several times so if that's a MOTM performance for United we are truly fucked. Battle for 4th with a shit Arsenal and jaded 13 man Spurs, playing pragmatic boring football!

ManUnitedTalk @manunitedtalk Early in the season Watford always start well. That's a very good win that. Second half we were shit but the first we were excellent. Pogba's long balls were sensational. Fellaini was brilliant. De Gea is incredible. Smalling fantastic.
Typical comment of where we are.. Pogbas Long Balls and Fellaini was excellent
Where did all go wrong George?
