The next time someone says Pogba does nothing for us and is easily replaced, can we just point them to this game? Seeing as I was the one that said the latter I will answer it. He was good last night, credit where its due. But for every game like this there's been too many piss poor games. He needs to improve his consistency, until this is done he can be easily replaced. Improve it and he wont be.

Really do like Fred as well. His energy is refreshing and his passing and movement is class. He's like a mix of Carrick and Sanchez in the making. We're not playing scintillating football but we do seem to have turned a corner since the Spurs monstrosity. There's still a long way to go before we even look like the team we should be but i am seeing more positives, from players and from Jose. Just hope its not a phase and it continues to grow. Tbf we were unlucky against Spurs, the monstrosity was Brighton. Fair point. Either way we seem to be getting some traction so lets give it keeps improving.

Very good performance from young Dalot. I think it isn't a stretch to say he should slot into RB a lot more from now, he looks so natural at it. It would allow Valencia to get in on the right wing, which wouldn't be a completely bad thing. I want Dalot to have made that position his own by the end of the season. I love Tony V. He's been an absolute warrior in that position for us but what I saw from this kid yesterday has me very excited.
Him and Shaw could see us settled at full back for the next 10 years.
We need to get Shaw tied down now to a new contract, it would be just typical of the last few years that shaw becomes the player we all knew he could become and then leaves on a free, we look so much better with him in the side.

I think if Pogba wants a better contract, I want to see the same performance week in week out. If he can't do that, he isn't deserving of more money, and his fat cunt of an agent isn't worth this club's time.

Ed has walked into this issue himself by giving shit like Sanchez stupid wages which is going to set alarm bells with other players, especially considering they are performing better...not that that's difficult.

Ed has walked into this issue himself by giving shit like Sanchez stupid wages which is going to set alarm bells off in many other players heads, especially considering they are perforking better than he is. He's probably had his nose pushed out of joint after Sanchez arrived. Unfortunately that's how football is now.

Indeed. In fairness, I understand Ed's decision making there, as Sanchez did look like he'd answer our problems on the right and be our best outfielder. But he's been a complete unqualified disaster so far, so other players are understandably annoyed and want more given they are putting in better performances. DDG obviously stands out the most, but I think Lingard in particular is another who would be justified in knocking on Ed's door and asking how the current situation is fair.

Quotes from Jose:
“I don’t think [Pogba] can score goals every match, but the goal he scored today, the first goal is not different than the fantastic save (Watford goalkeeper Ben) Foster had in the last match. So, if he starts arriving in possible scoring positions that can be a plus for the team so I’m happy with that.
But the team had good stability in midfield to allow him to go to these kinds of positions and I’m happy with the good solid performance of the team more than any individual. We knew that we needed to win this match and very important for us to go to the next three matches against Valencia and Juventus twice with these three points and we did that.
I want to be also nice to Luke because I think both play at the same level. I think Diogo and Luke played very, very well. Our danger came from both of them – they had fantastic movement, depth, crosses, assists. They were involved in the most dangerous actions and they also defended well, so I think both of them were very, very good.
But of course Luke is here for a few years and is playing since beginning of the season. For Diogo, first match for the club after knee surgery. I think a very good solid performance. I think everyone could see the potential and everyone could see he is a 19-year-old player that has more than 10 years to play for Manchester United.”

Re Fred ... that man is an attacking mid. Not going to work well as a holding mid, however, he should tear up the PL once he is moved forward. He’s not. He’s a box to box mid.

We should be very happy the Vermin messed about with Fekir. We should also be first in the queue. Yeah. We should have done that deal in the summer as it looks like Pereira is actually better than Fred Very early days on Fred not writing him off, he just looks wrong for Mourinho team

Gives us a bit more pace in that area. Not like he's played in a settled team, formation, had a solid run of games etc. I'd actually like to see him be the one that sits a bit deeper and mops up with his pace and tenacity, bit like Kante maybe.

The difference attacking full backs make to any side is huge. To us? It’s like we just started playing a different sport.
