Frustration is one of the main feelings after last night. Frustration because when the shackles are off, this group of players has proven that they can produce some exhilarating football. It's just a shame that it once again comes after we start the game poorly and we've nothing to lose.
Pogba was unplayable in the 2nd half and it's no fluke. He did the same thing in the City game last season against a considerably better side. Why can't he play like this all the time?
As much as I enjoyed the game last night, the 2nd half anyway. 45 minutes of good football here and there isn't good enough from the players or the management.
Surely Jose must realise that there'd be far less pressure on him if the attack was allowed to play like that more frequently. Especially seems he doesn't trust the defence, this side needs to score goals and plenty of them to be sure of winning football matches.
He's too hell bent on playing games with the board in trying to prove his defence is shit. What he should be doing is letting the players do the talking on the pitch. Play defenders in defence, let your attackers loose and if you're constantly drawing games 2-2, 3-3, losing them 2-3, 3-4 or narrowly winning despite dominating because of individual errors by actual defenders, you'd certainly have more backing from the fans over lack of recruitment in that area. As we'd at least be getting the attacking football we crave with the side being let down by the defence.
As it is, for the most part we still defend like shit and attack like shit.

I can't believe we have 4 CB in the squad and all of them are pants. The new manager when ever he comes is going to have 1 hell of a rebuild on his hands.

Martial scored his first Prem goal since January. Behave. Well, hes been poor and I dont disagree on that. But as a pure finisher , he takes his chances better than Lukaku . We desperately need someone to finish chances because lukaku has been shite in that regard. I agree that Lukaku has been shite but Martial has been garbage and all. He was wicked today and hopefully he can run with it. I don't see him displacing Lukaku in the centre unless he pulls his finger out more regularly.

Even just watching the highlights again, there's so much emotion from everyone involved. The manner of the win at a time when everyone is taking shots at the players for lacking fire and commitment and all the stuff with the manager, it really was great to see regardless of what happens in the future.

Reflecting further after the game it seemed to me that it was the crowd that dragged the team into reacting and upping their game 10 notches after starting their usual shit self.
Will it change how the team play from now on? I suppose we will have to wait and see.

Yes - that crowd. That fucking crowd.
They were sensational. Why can't they be this way each game.

I know McTominay into defence seemed typical Mourinho point-making at the time but by the end we had only two outright defenders on the pitch.
I genuinely think Jose, at 2-0, threw out his defensive rulebook and tried to attack. We finished the match playing 1-4-2-3.
As I've said before, I'm praying to Zeus this is the start of not just an on-pitch revival but an uprising against Woowar and the owners. Hope Mourinho keeps leaking shit about them and taking potshots in pressers. Only works if we keep winning though.

Lukaku needs to be rested not dropped.
Whats the difference? Either way he'd not be playing

technically yes but he is clearly tired. guy has played non stop for us and belgium. rest him because the tiredness is a big cause for his form. you drop him when he is well rested and still performing badly. anyway you know what i mean
