We could always loan Nani back for Wednesday and send him back. That's the only way I see us winning that game. Nani is like a cheat code against Arsenal. If we could have somehow managed to bottle his Arsenal performances and used it to get him consistent over a season. Genuinely think he could have got Ronaldo numbers. have you guys seen his goal in the europa league? Remember when LVG had to play McNair and Blackett and his options were a crocked Falcao and a finished Rooney up front.
Fergies brilliant 2010-2011 season, fuck all bought in the transfer windows with Carrick and Fletch playing CB for 2 months. We still won the league with Carlo's Chelsea, City and Arsenal breathing down our backs and got to the CL Final.
I don't think he ever complained or let any doubt creep in to that teams self belief and confidence, even though it was pretty ordinary in most areas at times! We still went for it in every game
I bet we have two CB's starting unless his hissy fit is still throwing Bailly out with the bath water so to speak.
Arsenal and Emery spent fuck all on a shit defence and weak midfield and have improved it.

My guess is Smalling and Jones will start with Bailly on the bench and Dalot can replace Young. What's the big deal
He has no injuries up front except for Sanchez who is tits on a bull for us anyway and he has every MF option available

I was chatting with a Gooner mate this afternoon who has a massive hate on for Jose after his Wenger bashing/defensive tactics/Arsenal mauling over the years. Even he was salivating at the prospects of giving us a hiding on Wed. All I could muster in our defence was that this was going to be ugly; either the score line, or our tactics.
Interestingly enough he said their ‘resurgence’ was down in part to Emery coming in but also in large part to Gazidis leaving and allowing Emery to rebuild the side in his image. I realized that I have now gone from hating them, to patronizingly respecting what they stood for, to being jealous of them. I cried inside.
