Potentially a difficult game this with them fighting for safety. Hopefully we turn up play better than we did against Leicester.
3 points and for Bournemouth and City to win. I'll take that as a mighty good weekend of football.

I'd be tempted to play Pogba and Matic or Herrera in a two man midfield with Mata just ahead. They are going to sit back with 9/10 men behind the ball so a bit of extra creativity wouldn't go a miss.

I'm caught between thinking we need to rest a lot of important players with Chelsea, Liverpool and PSG to come, and needing to make sure we keep winning these games to keep us right in contention for top 4.
Rest up Pogba and Rashford, oh, and Lingard, his running could be real important in those matches.
Get Fred, Lukaku and Mata in the team. Hope they have enough to win comfortably so those 3 get a game off.

On paper/form this should be a cert for 3 points. But we thought that about Burnley. I can see Mata starting this, a repeat of his 2 (indirect) assists in his last game will do nicely, thank you!

we have to play the strongest team. its these teams we have to make sure were picking up full points to keep the pressure applied.
win this game and then think about resting players. if were resting anyone though id rest matic and play fred with Herrera CDM.
sanchez can play lingards position. mata is far too slow. hes better if they have tired legs and he can get more space when they drop off.

The problem Ole has is we have a pretty good first 11, change that to rest players and we look shite.. play the best team and get the game won.

We rested players against Burnley, You play your best team. If our squad is lacking outside our starting 11 then it’s the clubs fault for not strengthening and keeping deadwood. We’ve just had a transfer window and done nothing ! |

I agree with this. Even Jose at the end got us 4 against this lot. Our next 3 games after this are absolute murder, even if they are basically spread out to one a week. That said, I'm not sure we can afford to rest Pogba. The other two we should be ok, but he's been so important to our revival. We'd be fucked if he got crocked. |

Score some early goals then sub him off when it’s comfortable! We underestimated the last bottom feeder we played. |
