The only big game i can remember him turning up is when we came back against city. Great when he deigns to turn up. Sadly that isn't often enough. Imagine Robson in this day and age? Spurs in the league? Chelsea in the cup. They were big games. He’s played pretty much every game since Ole came in bar PSG away and has done very well in most of them. We have about 6 positions that need an upgrade. Pogba isn’t one of them imo. He was poor tonight but so was everyone.

Also ask yourself-
Why are you selling Pogba? To what end? Who replaces all his goals and assists? How is it improving the team exactly? Don’t get me wrong he’s maddening at times but he’s contributed close to 25 goals or assists already this season. That’s a lot to replace, particularly for a side that doesn’t score as many as it should.

That sucked. Back down to earth with a bang. Dont even have the excuse of being the better team having millions of chances

The only fucking plus for me this weekend is it's St. Patrick's Day tomorrow, and I'm off work on Monday as it's a holiday in lieu.

They were all garbage tonight but pogba is one of the few world class players we have, no good turning on him. We pushed every ball to the left and every time we went down the right dalot played it back we were totally predictable. The one time Shaw beat his man and put the ball in we score. Play like that in the league against them, we get beat again.

If he turns up against Barca maybe.

Couldn't speak highly enough about him during that 3 game, 6 goal run. Misses one chance against Arsenal and he's back to being shit. Need to do it regularly and consistently. We got a result in Paris without Pogba. Through his own fault too. Needed him the last 2 games - might as well have stuck Crerand out there. Edit: Robson missed games cos he gave everything when he was on the pitch. Keane gave everything every time he was on the pitch. Beckham, Scholes, Ronaldo, etc etc, - same. They weren't great, or game changers every game, but you can't say they didn't give it everything. Can you honestly say Pogba does?

Mad that the teams left in the cup should be Wolves, Swansea, Watford and Brighton/Milwall.
What a shame it isn't. Money ruins football again as City cruise to another bought trophy.

Definition of madness is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.
Seemed to me part of our game-plan was for Pogba to drive through the middle and get on the end of things. Just didn't work. Doesn't make him a bad player, that particular tactic just didn't work on the night.
Also we seemed to overload the left hand side with Shaw etc, but they absolutely killed us on the counter.

No he doesn’t show up every game, not even going to pretend he does. He’s not Keane, not close. And maybe if we are in a position whereby we have talent like that of Keane’s throughout the side we can think about replacing him. But as of now we are nowhere near that and whatever it says about us Pogba is probably our best outfield player so I think he’s one of the last we need to look at replacing.

Not sure whether this is a good or bad thing (considering we had a full week to prep for tonight and served up that dogshit), but this result now means we've no weekend fixture before the first leg vs Barcelona (would've been the FA Cup SF), and therefore have an 8 day window to prepare for it. Also, the game sandwiched in between the 2 legs is at home to West Ham, so it's about as good a situation as we could've asked for going into the two massive games.
