I’m kinda tired so am wary of getting too much into this but- I don’t think it was. Or if it was it was to a lesser extent. Dave needed to clear that and take the hit. It reminded me of him in his first season, before he got used to England. I was really disappointed in him, thought those mistakes were behind him. I thought Smalling played well until he didn’t. And then he went to shit like the rest of them. In the end only Scott, Dalot and Shaw did anything approaching the standard required. Just thought Smalling looked like he completely lost his head. If he hadn't gone flailing around De Gea probably gets away with it. And De Gea looked like he was put of by Smalling as well. Smalling I kind of expect it of, Dave surprised me. Although I’m getting to the stage now where nothing negative about Utd surprises me any more.

It's not coincidence or luck that we have lost to Wolves twice in two weeks & largely outplayed by them at OT this season. They have a manager they trust & have a recruitment plan in place for the type of player they sign. Over 3 games this season,I would take Cody or Neves over any of our midfield options in our squad. Last night only reinforced for me,exactly how much of a mess Woodward has been allowed to create. We have no clear direction,no clear management plan, we haven't since SAF retired, transfers & management appointments have been reputation driven, most contract renewals have been, nothing short of negligent, panicked & misjudged. On the field City are the current benchmark in the Prem, how many of our current squad would be starting for City...DDG,nobody else. Guardiola said they intend to target 4 positions to strengthen this summer,if they need 4 ,we need 10 at least, who are well scouted & thought through signings that Ole wants/needs to improve the squad. The quality of player at the club is not good enough & has not been for a long time,SAF's time included. LVG said only last week,he spoke with SAF & even he had trouble securing the players he wanted towards the end of his time, why, basic fundamental reasons? We don't have the structure in place, how many other clubs are being run from top to bottom by accountant? The owners don't have the desire, intelligence or financial need to turn things around. They take their lead from a balance sheet & accountant that has proven to them that the team success does not affect their income streams. The only thing that has changed,is we now have a manager that we all love & trust,an assistant with a proven track record at the club, this will buy the accountant a bit more time,at least another season of under investment & bullshit briefings to shareholders & potential sponsors. The pressure needs to be seriously increased on Woodward & the owners, whilst the current regime are in place, nothing will ever change & it we will not be challenging for the league titles or European cups until we have owners that are prepared to put a structure & plan in place & then also commit the funding levels required, season on season to keep up with the new money in the game. We are terminally fucked under Woodward & Glazers.

Man i dont want this club belonging to that ramble, talk about desperation where our own supporters would be happy getting into bed with a country like that. The club has been mismanaged from woodward down, thats why the football has suffered, we have spent hundreds of millions. Trust me its not about money How long are you willing to believe that ? I’m done with it. And this whole moral high ground is something I don’t understand. If you’re under the impression the UK and the US are bastions of morality , I’ve got news for you.. You do understand it, it's just very convenient to ignore it. I can't change how I feel about it just because the UK government decides to sell them arms which is then used to indiscriminately murder innocent civilians. I hear the same shit in work after every defeat about the Saudis.

The problem with Pogba going is that we'll have to have an entirely new midfield to the one we started this season with. Ander is going and Matic doesn't have the legs. Add in that Mata is going as well, Fred is an urban myth, and Pereira and McTominay, whilst having bright moments, have not shown themselves to be top 6 midfielders, and we're already in enough shit there without adding Pogba into the mix.
If Pogba goes there's no way we will also replace both Matic and Herrera. We'd probably get someone more consistent than Pogba, but who wouldn't touch a top team's midfield, in to replace him. And then we'd probably get a decent replacement in for Ander but fail to replace Matic and have to play him or McTominay every week.

Pogba can be exceptional but he really isn't fit to be named in the same league as some of our past midfielders. How often did you say about Scholes or Keano "They're really good when on form."? Never because they were at it every fucking week and if they didn't quite have their best game they made sure they left everything out there. He strolls about, throwing his arms in the air, dilly-dallying on the ball, putting in half arsed challenges and generally contributing jack fucking shit. He's really predictable, after Jose left he did produce in quite a few games but that form has vanished yet again.

By the way guys, as I posted earlier, just let the fact that Ashley Young earns 110,000K per week sink in when you're having your morning tea or coffee.
Try wrapping your brain around that. Fuck me.

Add to that the owners think Rojo,Smalling,Jones,Darmian,Lingard,Matic,Fred,McTominay,Mata,Herrera,Grant,Bailly,Lindelof,Lukaku,Sanchez,Valencia are good enough. Of the current squad, DDG,Pogba,Dalot,Shaw,Martial,Romero & Rashford in my view are United quality players. We should all be bloody raving at what has & is going on at our club.

Our front trio weren't at the races yesterday and Wolves, much like they've done to many sides this season, dominated midfield with Neves, Moutinho and Dendoncker.
Wolves offered very little going forward in the second half, so our implosion was largely self-created.
If we (i.e. Lukaku) took our chances we'd have won the match comfortably.
Frustrating, but I genuinely don't think that's the end of the top 4 race.
Most positive for me was McTominay, played well and adds much needed energy to our midfield even though many have not given him much of a chance at United for the last year.

With 7 losses so far and 43 goals conceded in the Premier League, with Everton away and City and Chelsea at home within the remaining fixtures, I really do admire your optimism.
Personally I think top four is a pipe dream at this moment in time.
The reason why I say that is the last two performances in the league have been hugely underwhelming, 3 losses out of 4 games in all comps also. We got away with it against Watford.

To think we have been talking about top 4 for nearly 6 years now.
It won't be long & we will be talking about top 6,7 or 8.

Top 4 is done.
We can’t even escape the EL because of the run we’ve been on and if anyone but City win the Fa cup there’s a nice early start for some lucky bugger in the EL qualification spots!
