Love it that you're all digging into a player who didnt even get off the bench today The rot has set in far deeper than one or two scapegoat players. It was easy for Rooney, Fellaini, Sanchez, now Young to bear the brunt of the abuse, but the harsh reality is that none of them are proving themselves good enough to be kept around and have a club built around them. I’ve gone on record as saying we needed to identify what we are as a club and rebuild around this identity. I’d have hoped a DoF was going to be part of that process and then appoint a manager who embodies this identity, but however we’ve done it, we’ve got that manager in place. There are clearly a vast majority of players here for one reason or another who don’t fit what Ole believes to be a Man United player. If they don’t fit our culture, they shouldn’t be here. And that extends beyond the usual scapegoats. Ole got a run of good results and the DOF seemed to get shelved with reports that they were having a rethink. They are clueless.

He’s too good of a man to simply walk out on his club and dream job. The absolute nightmare that looks likelier and likelier to happen is that Ed and the board will completely fuck up and try to tarnish Ole’s reputation. If that doesn’t lead to a supporters revolt and protest then I don’t know what will. Remember when we all said Fergie/Gill should do the same once the Glazers took over? Anyone with the benefit of hindsight still wishing they had? None of these people think the way we do though. It is unfortunately one of the unavoidable truths. However much we revere Fergie and the job he did, he was never going to just leave. He actually praised them as owners.

No chance, we're guaranteed 6th. I thought 5th was the Europa spot. Fifth is Europa. One spot is given to the Carabao Cup winners - City have already guaranteed CL, so it goes to sixth in the league. It starts in the first qualifying round I think, which is in mid-July. One spot is given to the FA Cup winners - either Wolves get it or sixth get it, with the Carabao spot bumped to seventh. This spot joins the qualifiers in the final round I think.

Not really criticised but he did make a back handed comment about the green and gold protesters.

Shame that Ole is getting sone stick.Granted a few bad player choices but he is in a learning role and needs to be Fergie ruthless. The idiots that run the club have resigned Young,Jones,Smalling and have caused a rift with the Spanish players. Mata has slowed but I would have kept Ander. How bad can he be,the French PGS want him.Pay DeGea his money so that we can at least sell him as well. Why let players walk off for nothing? Once again the idiots that run the club.

Ole gets a pass for now imo. It’s not his team. Give him a couple of transfer windows and a pre-season and then we’ll a better idea. The worry is these rats won’t back him properly though.

You know something is rotten in the culture in that dressing room and there is some really poor management going on above the coaches, when 5/6 players and or the agents are distracted by contracts or talking about moves away and other clubs. Lukaku talking about Italy, Pogba about Real, Herrera about PSG, De Gea about getting more than Sanchez and not signing a contract and various other contract issues.
You get all that shit coming into the end of a season after a good run , challenging for 4th and a CL and an FA cup 1/4 final. It's a lack of clear management of those issues and a culture of greed from players
1/2 the fucking team and the senior players who should be leading on the field all talking bollocks and clearly distracted by it all.

What fucks me off is that the teams around us haven't exactly been pulling away. I said on Friday that Spurs would lose at City and had a good feeling Arsenals run in would fall apart. They are going to lose to Palace at home today and have a couple of tricky away games to go I am beginning to think that not qualifying may be a blessing. There are a load of players really being found out in this run in and hopefully this is the point where the clear out and some good recruitment really starts I still think a massive aggressive protest against Woodward and the Glazers is the way forward, just to let these fuckers know it won't be tolerated any more. Part of the problem with no CL football, is top players wont come unless you offer them a kings randsom and that will most likey be the strategy. I said after the Barca game, it will take 3 to 4 years to rebuild this squad and I believe that more than ever. Ole needs to be brave now and cleanse the squad. I dont care if there on big wages, just force them out. There is no room for sentiment in top flight sport, especially for players who have contributed next to nothing, we dont owe them anything. Oles presser is an indication that he knows what he has to do in order to improve next year. His comments echo what alot of us feel.

I'd swap Zaha for Martial in two seconds BTW. I bet your arse he is one of the players Neville is hinting about
He is super talented, but he's a lazy fuck. He'll get another season, but he's on watch

On a positive, at least we don't have to worry about this lot getting a result against City and handing the title to the scum.

Our path to 4th: we need Chelsea and Arsenal to drop 6 points in their remaining 4 games. This would allow us to get 4th despite also losing to City in midweek. We can inflict a defeat on Chelsea ourselves, whilst Arsenal go to Wolves a few games before. Both have one rubbish team at home (Burnley for Chelsea, Brighton for Arsenal), one other game they probably win (Watford at home for Chelsea, Burnley away for Arsenal) and both have to go away to Leicester. So for Chelsea we'd need to beat them, and then probably we'd need Leicester to beat them on the final day, whilst for Arsenal we need them to lose their next two away to Wolves and Leicester.
If that all happens we'd just need to beat Huddersfield away and Cardiff at home, two of the three worst teams in the league.
So, improbably, we do still have a chance even allowing for a loss against City. We need a lot from other teams, but given Arsenal and Chelsea's form this season the teams we need to beat them are definitely capable of doing so. No margin for error mind, and we'll know by close of play Wednesday if it's viable, because if Arsenal don't lose to Wolves I don't see us overhauling them.
