We’ve needed a clear out a very long time ago, this where sentiment and loyalty gets you...
Ole will need to be ruthless he’s got a fucking huge job on now and more crucially he will need the backing to do it, good luck.

On a positive, at least we don't have to worry about this lot getting a result against City and handing the title to the scum. I agree. Don't think we're good enough to take them on in the first place. They'll pick us off.

we finish in the top 4 and the chances are we will not build organically, finish outside of the top 4 and we build build organically, get players that want to come and not because we they are getting an extra 100k from what they should be getting. Personally i want us to finish in the top 4, its just a nice boost, and playing Thursdays is pants

We'll get beaten by City and a draw against Chelsea and that will be it. There will be fuck all protests though, because appointing Ole was a master stroke in appeasement! There should be war, but you have to see how the Summer goes and get behind him for at least another year!

Our path to 4th: we need Chelsea and Arsenal to drop 6 points in their remaining 4 games. This would allow us to get 4th despite also losing to City in midweek. We can inflict a defeat on Chelsea ourselves, whilst Arsenal go to Wolves a few games before. Both have one rubbish team at home (Burnley for Chelsea, Brighton for Arsenal), one other game they probably win (Watford at home for Chelsea, Burnley away for Arsenal) and both have to go away to Leicester. So for Chelsea we'd need to beat them, and then probably we'd need Leicester to beat them on the final day, whilst for Arsenal we need them to lose their next two away to Wolves and Leicester. If that all happens we'd just need to beat Huddersfield away and Cardiff at home, two of the three worst teams in the league. So, improbably, we do still have a chance even allowing for a loss against City. We need a lot from other teams, but given Arsenal and Chelsea's form this season the teams we need to beat them are definitely capable of doing so. No margin for error mind, and we'll know by close of play Wednesday if it's viable, because if Arsenal don't lose to Wolves I don't see us overhauling them. Mate forget about it. If we don't see Chong, Gomes, Garner, Greenwood and some others next few games I am not even bothered watching Matic, Lukaku and Martial should be told to fuck off and play in the reserves for the rest of the season. Lukaku and Matic shouldn't play for us again, while Martial needs to decide if he wants to be the footballer he can be and the club have spent fortunes on while we all wait! Lingards not good enough for the reserves

Remember when we all said Fergie/Gill should do the same once the Glazers took over? Anyone with the benefit of hindsight still wishing they had? None of these people think the way we do though. It is unfortunately one of the unavoidable truths. However much we revere Fergie and the job he did, he was never going to just leave. He actually praised them as owners. No they don’t, which is exactly why Fergie and Gill were so important.

That's nice to hear and interesting as they're 3 players I'd keep next season, everyone else is up for debate.

Of course you do. And that would’ve benefitted the club how exactly? The Glazers are the only benefactors here. Fergie just delayed the inevitable. The evidence was there years before with their other projects in the US.
