So depressed this morning how can we have fallen so far so quickly Tell me about it mate.
Depressing as fuck. Sliver lining is that the result was most probably fatal to the Scousers title bid.

By not clearing deadwood and being beyond awful in the transfer market. The managerial merry-go-round hasn't helped either I honestly felt when fergie retired we were such a big club worldwide that this couldn't happen. Theres just no chink of light to say this will get better. It's just a nightmare That's football, it's pretty humbling for my generation, I've only seen the good times whereas previous generations had this kind of stuff consistently. The club has lost it's way, for example no one can judge players properly anymore, it's not just talent they should be thinking about but the character of the players, do they have what it takes to play for this club? Martial is a great example, has obvious talent but he's a lemon. He's been allowed to get away with it, again we fell into the same trap with him, a few decent performances and we give him a new contract for more money, why do we do that? That's one of the worst examples of man management I can think of. Complacency and mediocrity is a hard stain to remove, it took Fergie along time to remove it when he arrived. Unfortunately it's only taken the club 5 years to bring it back.

Bar 3 or maybe 4 golden periods Utd have actually been a bit of a mess and have had a rare ability to shoot themselves in the foot. This period is particularly awful though because their was a clear example of what not to do with following Busby and we’ve messed it up again. And given the finances involved even a half decently ran club could buy their way out of it but we can’t even manage that. Of the ‘big clubs’ in world football we are quite unique in our ability to be incompetent.

That's the saddening thing about it lads, everyone connected to the club knew how we cocked it up after Busby with promises to "never let that happen again" yet we marched headlong into the same shit right after Fergie. One misstep after another, now enough is enough, back Ole to the hilt get him the right support and budget and let the club get back to brass tacks. Could take 4 to 5 years but it'll be worth it, we've done nothing worth shouting about in the last 6. That's what irks me, should have done the rebuild the summer Fergie went, pay Gill silly money to oversea it for 1 more year and we'd be out the other side of it now, likely with a good squad that plays the United Way. Thoroughly pissed off I am.

the defending for the 2nd goal...goodness me, what a disgrace. i saw it coming and was actually yelling at the screen. how can the whole defence stay in the same spot...this was amateur football quality, absolutely shocking.
on top of that our defenders who cant play the game with a football at their feet. shaw and lindelöf are the only ones who can actually handle the ball. smalling and young in possession look completely lost and out of ideas. you look at the defenders the other top teams have: van dyik, vertonghen, toby, laporte, kompany even fucking david luiz. at least those guys know to play football, they know how to place a fucking pass. a complete disaster...

Sorry I've not read through both threads but I caught up on the Sky pundits after the game, they got very close to blaming the board. They went hard on the structure above the manager but all stopped short of using the names we all went to see put out there. Just incase anyone else mentioned this, surely the floodgates will start soon in terms of high up people blaming the Glazers directly for this shit show that they have directly instigated.
