Were you saying we'd win the league next season when we were in title winning form 6/7 weeks ago? Not me. I think Ole was the wrong appointment. Caretaker I was fine with but I didn’t think he was one for the long term which I’m sure I said a while back on here possibly when some were getting giddy. l didn’t think the wheels would fall off like this though I thought we would have a dip and results would just level off. Ole may well prove to be the wrong appointment, but my gut feeling is that with the club as it is at the moment, there is no right one.

Well there isn’t but the 2 managers who had a good CV at least got us 3 trophies between them . Ole has nothing to fall back on if this dire run continues. He is an unknown quantity unfortunately.

Cos sticking the Youth into this situation, with some of the "senior" players we have atm, will actually do more damage than good. Keep them as far away from this lot as possible till preseason. Even though id love to see a few of them against Cardiff, regardless of our CL hopes. Don't see it doing them any harm in fairness. There's only 2 games left now with this squad (3 before today's game). If there was half the season left then fair enough but 20 minutes or so in the last 3 games, not so much risk of anything happening to him (them) than getting a bit more experience for the first team. Given the atmosphere in the first team atm it will do them more harm than any "experience" will do them good. PSG was a literal free hit so it was a no brainer to involve them, but this is an absolute shit show that they should be miles away from.

They did, but they also had full seasons and pre seasons. I understand people's reluctance with Ole, but until he's had the tools everyone else has had to work with I just think it's only fair to give him the time.

Not the point I was making. Our earlier excellent run wasn't a foreshadowing of us winning the league next season just like our recent run (relegation form as you called it) isn't a foreshadowing of major struggles next season. Yes but teams often have a new manager bounce so that wasn’t completely unexpected. It probably lasted longer than the usual bounce does but even on that run there were games we were very lucky to win. One of the main issues with this team is that we have so many players who clearly don’t want to be here and others who shouldn’t be here. Unless this squad is gutted in the summer and we bring in at least 5 players I think things will get a lot worse. De Gea looks haunted.

I mean, one goal in 8 hours of football?
And some of these guys are flirting with Spanish, Italian clubs and one apparently on his way to that farmers league in France?
I'll give Ole a ring in the morning and book a taxi for these want-aways, straight to the airport.
Regarding the deadwood, the management, staff and hirearchy are going to have some job on their hands trying to prise these players hands away from 110,000 per week contracts.
In relation to the benchwarmers, good luck in trying to get them off 62,000 per week contracts, because it's such a handy number when your warming your arse on the touchline.
One of back up keepers is on 25,000-50,000 per week. He's never going to get a game. Ever. Good luck trying to separate him from that.
Just totally fed up at this stage. I'm in rant mode, fucking shambles from top to bottom and those cunts the Glazers will be still milking the cash cow.

I honestly don't know how we've gone from such high highs to such lows in such a short period of time. Morale seemed great at first, then we got hit by the injury crisis, it became apparent that Dave, Ander and Mata probably weren't going to sign new deals, and Zidane went back to Real and turned Pogba's head. Then all the fucking wheels fell off at once.

The only thing I enjoyed about today’s game was watching Rojo being a mad cunt.

If they have any brains (cough) they will realise that the only way out of this mess is to try and move on the deadwood that they didn’t shift over a number of seasons. The number of players this involves will continue to get bigger and mid table will be our rightful place very soon.

The recent run is a combination of shit attitude, lack of fitness and lack of quality.
I don't think the lack of fitness part can be downplayed. It's an absolute shambles that professional athletes can use this as an excuse but it has been suggested in the past that some of these high pressing high energy sides tire as the season has gone on. Imagine how much more knackered they'd be if they'd been playing a lower intensity game for the first part of the season.
You're not going to fix the attitude of some of these fuckers but you can sure as hell improve the fitness of some of them with a pre-season that caters more to how you want to play next season.

Olé having a laugh with Pedro as he was about to come on, on the sideline with 6 minutes or so to go, and we desperate to focus and try win the game.. Not fucking impressed with that at all. Lol what? You have absolutely no idea what was said or how well they know each other. He could of been telling him how shit he is for all you know

These players should be embarrassed if their fitness levels aren't up to par. It seems Ole wants to play a pressing style so it will take a full off season and a complete clear out of players who can't cut it. It feels similar to Klopp and when he first came in. He needed time for players to adapt to his tactics and 2 transfer windows to find the right players for his pressing style. Give Ole time. Lukaku was absolutely gassed at 25 minutes. He couldn't suck in enough air. The heavy bastard has destroyed his season. They players aren't fit. Hopefully this pre season is a little better.

Feel for Dave. A lonely place in between those sticks with confidence as low as his right now. The level of shit he's getting now after years of world class performances, could you imagine him at Real right now. He'd be absolutely ruined to the point I dont think he would recover. Hate our support sometimes with some of the shit I've read about him on social media. Fucking ridiculous. Agreed. Having his first tough point since his tough start. We got behind him then and we should do it again.
