Going to be funny when Walsh gets the job. Heads will explode. What's his role actually going to be?

I'm not sure if his name has ever been thrown into the mix, but I think David Beckham would be the ideal candidate for the role of a DoF. I think that it's important that whoever sets the long-term vision of the squad would have some connection to the club. On top of that, he's proven himself to be very business savvy over the years - including the ability to move mountains and build a brand new Football team in the US. These are skills that Rio and Fletcher, who were mentioned for the role, haven't demonstrated - at least not even close to the same level.
Another important thing is that pretty much all of the players who are 18-30 years of age grew up watching him play, some even openly said he was their idol when they were young. He ticks pretty much all of the boxes for me.
