He might if he was given free rein to do the things required to get us there. Sadly we all know he won’t be because Woodward. If I were Edwin, I would make that a part of the deal - otherwise no deal... This from something I read today...following some questions about DDG and the contract negotiations... Van der Sar, who is currently Ajax’s chief executive, was also asked directly about a return to United as their new director of football. He said: “You never know. At the moment, Ajax is the principle thought where I’m putting all my time and effort in and whatever happens in the future, we will see.” This gives me some hope...and he won't put up with Woodward's shenanigans...

Emilio Alvarez, the GK coach, has left the club with immediate effect,. Weird timing. Wonder if he got the national job coaching keepers or something?

Why is McKenna getting the flack? He was very highly rated in the academy.
What about the other 3 ?

It’s not McKenna’s fault that they can’t pass 5 yards to the person next to them. Certain things can be blamed on coaches, but not that.

If McKenna is getting it from the squad, it's probably an indication that Ole will be in their firing line soon if he isn't already.
Keano said this lot will throw Ole under the bus, looks like McKenna is getting thrown under it first.
The hierarchy and the players clambering around for excuses. Embarassing.

Managers with a good CV get more leeway because of what they’ve achieved. Moyes and Solskjaer have nothing to fall back on when the results turn shit. Solskjaer has got an easier ride from the fans because of his status. Probably one of the reasons they hired him, unfortunately it’s took an ex player failing for fans to turn on the Glazers . There’s also the small matter of player power. Managers kicking arses makes them dinosaurs, a board who prioritise players over the manager has led us to this.

Our group of players really is the most entitled bunch of pricks in football, they're basically the playing version of Real Madrid fans.
