Well that's that. Probably our worst pre-season performance but we were excellent in the last 20 minutes when all the youth and energy came on.
Just shows us that these kids are our future. If we teach them well, I'm sure they'll lead the way.

DeGea not good with pens. How can a goalkeeper be good with pens exactly? Its guessing and hoping for the best. Come on. There's no skill to it. Speaks for itself he doesn’t save many, he does nothing to try and psyche out the taker. |

How can a goalkeeper be good with pens exactly? Its guessing and hoping for the best. Come on. There's no skill to it. Speaks for itself he doesn’t save many, he does nothing to try and psyche out the taker. What do you expect? A death stare or a silly dance. There is nothing a goalkeeper can do with penalties other than guess correctly. He saved one of them anyway. Can't criticise the lady for "guessing" wrong. |

He guessed right on 2 penalties and saved one. Not sure what else you expect |

Like I said his record is poor with pens you really need to stop being so precious and protective there’s always room for improvement and as we finished 6th again last season there’s lots of work and improvements to aim for. |

I thought Fred did well when he came on. Matic started brightly but faded badly after his mistake. Scott was also much better when partnered with Fred. Lingard did well too in fairness. Bizarrely Rojo as well.
Give Dybala whatever he wants. One more top drawer player will make a huge difference.

He should have kicked it long, simple.
He's done it before, so don't try and paint it as a "one off"
The receiving player always gets the blame when he shouldn't have been put in the position in the first place.

He's done it before, so don't try and paint it as a "one off" The receiving player always gets the blame when he shouldn't have been put in the position in the first place. I don't like this new ruling with goal kicks for this very reason. We did it against Leeds and got caught out a few times. Need to keep it simple and hoof it rather than passing around the box. |
