Proper football. It's back. Got my Triple IPA chilling in the fridge already. A group of mates popping round for it too. Should be fun. Chelsea's always a tough game, but I have no idea what they'll be like under Lampard. Hopefully Kante will still be injured.

Replace Pereira and Lingard in the second half for Mata & James. Speed and creativity. How good it would look with Erikson in that midfield tho |

I know it's the first game of the season, but this is a big one. Chelsea have had the transfer ban and, like us, have a manager that many still consider to be pretty unproven. This will show us where we stand after a transfer window that's been frustrating at best.
If we don't win, given it's at home against a side that lost its best player and almost certainly replaced their manager with someone inferior, it'll set a bad tone for the start of the campaign. I was at this fixture in April and whilst DDG's mistake cost us on paper, in reality it was a total lack of creativity or movement in the final third. If that's been addressed then we should win.
