Their midfield is significantly more creative than ours... It's really not even close. Anyway, I'm not talking about the season as a whole, just this game. They will definitely be up for it. I'm not convinced we will be. No they’re not. Kante is a cdm. Jorginho passes the ball about he half way line. Kovacic Barkley loftus cheek all similar. Pogba far far more creative than them all. Kante is better than each and every one of our midfielders. I'd swap him and Pogba without a second's hesitation. Lampard would do well if he uses his brains and plays Kante in his position with Jorginho ahead of him. Sarri was a moron to switch their positions. Kovacic is dynamic too. The fact that you're hinging this on the presence of Pogba is telling, because Pogba himself needs to turn up and be counted. |

Ashley Young is more creative than Jorginho and passed backwards last season more times than our entire squad did under van Gaal.
Our midfield is no worse than theirs, with an in form Pogba it's better.

I genuinely can’t remember a opening game feeling so important. Sounds dramatic but i genuinely think this game could make of break the next couple of months. We desperately need to set a high tempo and get some confidence.

Win with some of the new guys doing well and it could give us a real boost. Lose and it could be like Van Gaal’s opening game all over again, when the air went completely out of the tires. |

That’s not what was originally said though. Significantly more creative makes them sound like city. As an average were about the same. Our best player is better than there’s. But as a whole they’re stronger. |
