Seriously? He was faultless. I know its only one game so we can't exactly get ahead of ourselves but you couldn't ask for a better performance from him. End of the day he's not there to score goals, He's there to stop them going in, which he did. Stopped watching MUTV long time ago for reasons like this. We can so exactly get ahead of ourselves. Beckenbauer was only this good in his dreams. Nice to see him getting his head on a few set pieces. Missed an actual threat from corners. For me it's not the threat at corners. It's knowing that Harry is gonna find the ball when defending the corner. That for me was a breath of fresh air. I love Lindelof but it's not a strength of his so having Harry there will be night and day from last season when defending set piece. Hopefully he will nick a few up front and all.

Great result good performance Maguire looks good AWB serious talent. Now I dont shit myself too much when we try and play out from the back. Chelsea found too much space behind Luke Shaw in the first half. I thought he had a slow start. Worryingly his only competition comes from Ashley Young.

De Gea looked back to his old self too, which was great.

De Gea looked back to his old self too, which was great. Not playing with the goon squad in front of him will help him hugely. It’s a bit taller than Danny DeVito but H and Vic are clearly the best CB partnership we’ve had since Rio and Vidic.

I’m clearly giddy but could you imagine the impact it would have if Ole was to get something from Sanchez this season?

One thing I fucking loved was the team huddle after each of the first 3 goals. They were organising themselves. I remember when Zlatan had them doing that.
Apparently today they were telling each other they would not concede today. McTominay was leading that shit. Hes a real future leader. As is Slabhead. Its bloody nice to watch

I’m clearly giddy but could you imagine the impact it would have if Ole was to get something from Sanchez this season? There's no excuse at all for him this season anyway. We're going to be playing in a fashion that should suit him. In fairness to him, he's never lacked effort for us, he's just forgotten how to play football. Even if he could give us 50% of the player he was as an impact player from the bench it would help.

I think it's more likely Fred will look like a proper player, which I'm still hopeful of. Anything from Sanch is a bonus as I've pretty much written him off as a player. Would love him to prove me wrong.

I’m clearly giddy but could you imagine the impact it would have if Ole was to get something from Sanchez this season? If we can get minimum 35 goals between Martial and Rashford I will be very happy. If we manage to get a further 5 from Alexis I will be ecstatic. Jeepers I am maybe asking a lot but if we could get 5 to 10 from Mason on top of all that I would probably be at orgasmic levels 😂

what's Luke shaw got to do with what I said? You were discussing the back four, and I added my thoughts on the weakest link there today.

Slow start lucky not to concede but overall very satisfying.

AWB is superb defensively. Attacking he has a bit to learn but it still doesn’t stop him bombing on and trying which is all you can ask.
Maguire was superb especially for a debut game. It’s great to see us looking composed passing the ball between our defence with no anxiety.
It wasn’t a perfect performance but we won 4-0 against a big club. I’ll enjoy this day.
Buzzing for James to get a goal. Looked like he fluffed his chance be with his pace he will get loads of them type of chances throughout the season

Well.
That was unexpectedly massively enjoyable. I'm not certain but I think I saw the equivalent of last season's goals in one go.
The scoreline definitely flattered us and there was an element of the early form under Ole of scoring first then capitalising. We did the same at the beginning of Jose's second season. Was an archetypal Jose big game performance actually. Soak up pressure, nick a goal, punish them on the counter.
We were poor in the first half. Better in the second.
It's one game but AWB could be a cult hero for us. What a defender. Maguire was rock solid. If people are falling over themselves crow about it though maybe keep in mind I never actually said he would gibber like a gibbon. I thought Lindelof was superb as well.
Pogba was anonymous bar the moment of brilliance. Rashford had a late-United career Rooney game. Mostly shite but scored a couple. Martial looked at home as 'the striker'.
Dan James. Go on kid!! Celebrations were right in front of our section and every player made a point of celebrating with him/individual high five/the like. He's obviously integrated really well. There might be something to that togetherness schtick. Was quite an emotional moment.
Still to be convinced at all of our staying power across the entire season but at least we've started on a high.
Mourinho was a good sport by the way. Stretty were chanting his name during late lull in play and he waved back.
