All the cunts who voted below 8th blow my mind How about we don't call members of the forum 'cunts'? Does this apply to SET as well?

I have no real basis for this opinion but I feel Ole may use his squad in the Europa League, particularly in the group stage. Not saying he won't try and win but I just get the feeling he'll prioritise the league. If he does we probably won't win Europa but I feel we'll comfortably get top 4. We're better than Chelsea and Arsenal despite the Arsenal signings. They struggled to a dreary victory over a shite Newcastle team today. Their main problems still remain. Do think we're capable of surprising people and finishing even higher as well (not an overreaction to today as I've said it before). The cups should basically be an U23 competition for us this season, at least until the late stages.
The back 5, plus Pogba, Martial and Rashford shouldn't kick a ball in the cup comps until at least the quarter finals. We need these players fit and fresh for the league games, top 4 is just too important.
Get Romero, Dalot, Jones, Smalling, Rojo, Young, Garner, Fred, Greenwood, Sanchez, Chong, Gomez game time.
I've always, always, said trophies are more important than any league position other than 1st, but this is the first season I'm thinking I'd rather get 4th and trophyless than 5/6th and win the Europa. We need to show we are capable of getting back in the Champions League due to league position, as well as show we are better than at least 2 of our rivals. Winning the Europa but finishing outside the top 4 just shows that we are still way off the pace in the league.

Arsenal were missing a few players tho due to fitness etc that team will look much better with tierney, Pepe, Toreira, Ozil starting

Ozil is Ozil. No telling how quickly Pepe and Tierney adapt to playing in the Premier League if at all. Good players if and when they do. Their defence is a sham, it amazes me how some of these pundits are trying to dress Luiz up as a really good signing for them. They're a pretty chaotic side as it is, Luiz just exacerbates that. Newcastle are poor and still looked pretty dangerous every time they attacked yesterday, mainly down to Arsenal.
We'll piss top 4 and be challenging Spurs for 3rd instead of Arsenal for 4th.

The thing with Arsenal is they have the firepower to take care of the cannon fodder. You can see them taking some beatings against the top sides due to their CBs but will get points against the dross. One thing we have to eradicate is the stupid games we seem to suffer a lot recently like Burnley, Brighton or Huddersfield, where we haven’t shown up or our finishing/keeper heroics have thwarted us. We really can’t afford those anymore. The defense helps but those games usually come down to taking a chance in a key moment. And they’ll be on Martial or Rashford.

I have a feeling they will be up to it. Another year older with more experience and no Lukaku to get in the way...

For me knowing we have two strikers who wont shit the bed against top 10 opponents is awesome. But we need them to show up against the relegation battlers to have any hope

Our midfield can only (hopefully) improve, Pereira and McTominay getting more playing time together. McT was a bit tenuous in the first half v. Chelsea but then started imposing himself. A fairer result would have been 4-2. I think we will concede goals but this counter-attacking style will see few clean sheets but more wins. Realistically I think we are going to get a big slap in the face when we play a team with a tight midfield. I voted for 7th, but I can't see us going any lower. I think we will be scrapping for 4th but don't want to get my hopes up.

There will be tough games and shit losses but there will be plenty of that for everyone outside of the top 2. McT will have a very good season I believe.

Out of the top 6 If Pogba gets inured then lower half of the table. Our midfield is shocking and we’re selling a striker with no replacement. I should hire myself out for clairvoyant parties. Sack Solskjaer and replace with Allegri a.s.a.p i’m going top for a European place. Don’t replace no higher than where we are now or possibly even relegated. Knowing us though we’ll sack him when it’s too late and hire Mark Hughes or Giggs whenever he gets sacked.
