Hopefully Atkinson channels Riley & Rashford channels RVN for the day Makes me sad seeing some of this football and the standard we played compared to our current drivel. Ruud was awesome.

Hopefully Atkinson channels Riley & Rashford channels RVN for the day If there's one thing this club has always had it's a world class lethal striker. No matter how shite our midfield got after Ronaldo, we had a top class striker. Post Ferguson it's been a disgrace barring Zlatan.

I’ve never seen us lose at home in person. I pray to God that record is still intact on Monday.

I can’t remember the last time I had less hope for this fixture. Even in the 80s we had enough good players to raise their game against the Scouse, even though they were better than us. Now we can only hope the international break will effect their rhythm for the first half and we somehow take advantage of it, they way they would in the 90s and 00s when they were usually pretty shite.
A complete role reversal.

A complete role reversal. To be fair even before the break they relied on luck against Leicester and even in a few games before that so they're there to be taken, we just have to rise to the challenge and do it. I'm still going into this game with some positivity, that may change however when the starting XI is revealed. Ole has to get that right aswell as a few things he's gotten wrong. Guess we'll soon see if this "culture" and the players knowing what needs to be done is just more bollocks. "Culture" is the new "Philosophy".

I'm going to wrestling rather than watch this. Every time I've been to the graps rather than watch us, on a Sunday, we've lost. LOL!

I’d take Van Gaal back for this.
Van Gaal was great against the Scousers ( Europa league aside). He never lost at home though.

Everton have just beaten West Ham 2-0. At this moment, we’re 13th in the table. lol Honestly, league position is the least of our concerns. Jose finished 2nd and fat lot of good that did. While getting rid of Ed and the Glazers is the pipe dream, gutting and rebuilding the squad is a more attainable goal. Ole publicly showing faith in the players and the board will place responsibility on them for how they have failed to implement his vision, hence the league position. Having said that, I think he could do a better job of communicating the style he wants to play, which would highlight the deficiencies, but hopefully this will come later in the season.
