Another false dawn and hope that we’d go on a run absolutely squashed in an absolute shit performance. What is the point of Pereira? He’s playing in his preferred position and yet still absolutely useless. I didn’t think anyone could be worse than young on set pieces but fuck he proved us wrong today. If we’re languishing in the bottom half of the table by January then at least the only hope is that they’ll have to spend.

I think the question we need to ask is do we actually develope players anymore? Surely martial should be at a higher level, lindelof, maguire another gear, AWB as consistent as he has been in the Fergie era he’d have been on another level. We used to develope players but not we actually regress them I also think the players have to want it. Does martial strike you as a guy who’s turning up early for training and leaving last? Agree with that totally but we also created an environment where a martial would come in and have no choice but to realise his potential in 2 years or be sold to never be seen playing top level football. Everything right now from owners to coaches to players just smells of a toxic mixture of inconsistency, laziness, mediocrity and lack of self motivation |

All well and good these players playing well for 2 people 3 games but we'll get nowhere when half of them decide when they want to half arse it every couple of games.
Martial is a prime example. He's as inconsistent as Pogba and even sometimes with the same attitude. He produces moments of magic but more often than not he's too lazy which isn't good enough. He's had plenty of match time now get back to full fitness aswell, he just didn't look arsed in the 2nd half.
Our crossing whether it be from a set peice or in and around the box is woeful and some of the worst I've ever seen. Obviously something else we don't practice enough of.
Young isn't good enough, Lingard isn't good enough, neither should be starring games anymore. Pereira needs to improve aswell, far too many miss placed passes he lost the ball 23 times which is unacceptable.
Thought Fred was good. Won't the ball back for us alongside Scotty but there was far too many passes going sideways and backwards mainly because players weren't finding space.

Difference is Fred and Pereira have time on their side to turn it around, at least a few months to prove they are good enough. Lingard however has been shit constantly for long enough that we know for a fact he'll not improve. He has no place on a football pitch in a united shirt. All while the likes of Garner is stuck on the bench. Would rather give him a chance. |

The three who started in midfield today should not be in a united team except mctominay who should be a decent squad player. Lingard isn't even squad player quality. Rashford and james difficult to judge in light of the crap around them. Martial not good enough due to attitude , he's lazy end of.
Back 4 ok except young and I still have doubts about lindelof
If we dont sort this out soon what decent (none mercinary) player is going to want to join this sinking leviathan

I remember thinking he's a future star in the making.. reality is, those mid-table La Liga teams are his level. |

Nothing new about today sadly. The lack of creativity in the side is bordering on criminal. There is literally one player in the whole squad that can pick a pass, and that’s Pogba. And he brings his own issues. James is capable of a good run and cross, Rashford can use his speed to good effect but as we enter November, the stark reality is none of us have any idea as to where the goals are supposed to come from.
