Eh? Southgate starting Rashford when everyone of us has been saying he's obviously injured which he admitted himself? I didn't even comment on this thread recently but came on here to whinge about Southgate starting Rashford. It’s more the whole ‘24 year old isn’t a young player anymore’ thing. Seems a truly bizarre thing to criticize Rashford for. He started off as a teenager so even though he’s young he’s not young? Okay... Ah yeah that's bollocks, misread it in that case

Mouth breathers booing the knee I have the misfortune of living not too far from Middlesbrough nowadays and can confirm that it has been some people’s sole purpose in life to turn up and boo the taking of the knee today.

Mouth breathers booing the knee Some would say it's a virtue signalling charade that is most-associated with a marxist hate group. Less of this 'People who disagree are racist idiots' rhetoric please.

Mouth breathers booing the knee Stone would say it's a virtue signalling charade that is most-associated with a marxist hate group. Less of this 'People who disagree are racist idiots' rhetoric please. The people of Middlesbrough on the whole wouldn’t know Marxism from Marks & Spencer’s. I don’t see the need to actively boo the gesture. You wouldn’t catch me singing the national anthem, but I’ve never actively booed it either. Surely it’s easy enough to just let people get on with it.

There is is again: 'people who disagree with my point of view must be stupid'. Those people know more than you give them credit for and even if they are all idiots they see riots on the news like anyone else. Taking the knee = BLM = Stirring racial division/importing US grievance culture. You don't need to be Einstein to make that connection. It is not the thread for it so this is the last I'm commenting; regardless of your view of it, please have a little respect for the debate rather than simply dismissing the 'other side' as thick and/or racist.

Would you boo if you were in the ground? Not sure. Totally disagree with the whole performance but is booing the best way to show that disagreement? It might be the only way, it is certainly the most straightforward and direct.

I’m basing this on actual people in the area I live that I have actually spoken to in real life. None of whom were there booing based on any rational argument. I have no quibble with you Bestie, any opinion you have will be well thought out, of that I have no doubt. You’re clearly an intelligent bloke, I don’t think anyone in the thread is calling you a racist because you have a difference of opinion. And as you say, not the thread for it regardless, really.

Yes, football fans all over the UK are well known for their hatred of Marxism. Every time you go to a ground you’ll hear them chanting their disapproval of Engels and his ilk. This chap is definitely protesting at the links between BLM and the author of “Das Kapital”.
We all know why the vast majority of them were booing tonight. Lets not pretend otherwise.

Anyway, for what it’s worth, I think taking the knee has run its course. It’s been too long to sustain its effect. In my opinion.

I'd fucking pay money to see one of those sacks of shit define Marxism for me. Give over mate, they're assholes. They wouldn't know Karl Marx from Carlsberg.
