Funny thing about shutting schools: There's no recorded patient of Covid-19 under the age of 7... It’s being reported that on Irish TV tonight, RTE, there was a WHO representative on Skype from Geneva, and a Professor of Infectious Diseases and other Doctors who said shutting schools was entirely one of the correct things to do. They’re professionals so I suppose they have their reasons (other than no pupil under 7 as being recorded as having it).

Needs to be suspended at this point really. I do fear for lower league clubs if it happens.

I have a massively compromised immune system, no spleen ,for which I take 500mgs of penicillin daily ,had pneumonia, and have an auto immune version of Lupus, I take between 6/7 mgs of Warfarin daily and a Statin.Apart from that I’m fine! I’m an (English) civil service manager, working in a busy public office where staff and public intermingle all day. So far my Dept has referred ppl like me with underlying health conditions, to “ the guidance on the intranet” which is a cut and pasted complete waste of fucking time! If I get this Covid-19 my doc’s have already told me that I’ll be really poorly, the LAST thing I want is to be stuck in an isolation tent being fed Grey Minced Cat and Mashed potato via a fucking gauntlet! I’m seeing my GP tomorrow and will ,most likely, get a sick note for a month.
Literally stay inside

For sure, more than one will probably fold.

The trouble is, the British attitude of, fuck it, it's only a cold, I'm going in to work, I cant be seen as soft. This is different though. I have zero interactions with him but we all use the same toilets and it is contagious through faeces and urine, so if someone doesn't wash their hands... Also, there are probably between 125 to 150 people on site and they give us bars of soap in the toilets. Very fucking hygienic. Report the callous bastard. We can't. We are a sub contractor to his company. No one to report him to, unless he tests positive maybe . I don't know. As for soap, it's not one bar each, but one for each sink. We had complaints about this before the virus, they should have soap dispensers. Cheapskate bastards on this job. We have hand scanners to get on site and the turnstile doesn't even have any sanitizer nearby. I refuse to use it.

I'm flying to Disney World (Florida) for two weeks on 9th May with my German fiancée (not covered by the travel ban as she hasn't been back since Christmas but you never know with US security...). Terrified it'll be cancelled in some way and I'm very stressed about it. I've been looking forward to the trip since we booked it over a year ago and will be devastated if it's cancelled, it's got me through all of my lower moments in the past year as I've been so excited. I know it sounds stupid, but it means the world to me. Genuinely, the only solace I can think of right now is that Liverpool may be cost the league. That would be a sweet moment. Disney World closed until the end of March, and it will probably be extended until the end of April at least. It’s going to go down to the wire.

Does anyone else feel, from a purely United perspective (so not taking into account the health benefits of stopping), that the league being played out behind closed doors may be best actually?
The scouse wouldn’t win their title, which would be glorious, but they’ll probably get next year’s anyway. Meanwhile we’ll have another year out of CL, probably triggering a bunch of clauses that the Gimps will use as an excuse to avoid any decent transfer deals. If the league was played out we now have a very decent chance of top 4 IMO, whereas another year will allow our rivals to get better whilst we likely stall.

I'm not so sure the vermin will sustain their form into next season. They have had a ton of luck with injuries and on the pitch. I listened to Duncan Castles this morning and he had Philippe Auclair on, a french football writer. He was of the same opinion, but then towards the end said we fluked the treble! So his opinion went right out the window!

I hope so, but I think being denied the title might give them the impetus to crack on next season and threaten all the shit they were threatening to do until the past couple of weeks. They'd probably lose a couple more in the PL, but may well convert that into wins in other competitions that would be far worse. I also don't see anyone catching up to them next season yet. We're still too far away, Chelsea too, and Pep may get the money but I think his mind is starting to go elsewhere, particularly if their CL ban holds.

No title for the Scouse is better than us being in the the European Cup to make up the numbers. Plus we can always use the Schrödinger's qualification as a selling point to Sancho etc. - "The season was cancelled but we were clearly going to get into the Champions League. We had the momentum and were a favourite for the UEFA Cup too."
