Can say goodbye to Sancho being sanctioned though if we keep winning with those 3 up top. Could do with Rashford getting a niggle till the end of the season to remind them that we can't just play those 3 across all competitions all season.

Sancho isn’t ,and won’t be ,the be all and end all, imho, whomsoever we go for in the summer HAS to fit around ,and compliment Bruno-as I said last week.
Apart from 1 (?) stray pass he was almost unplayable tonight.
Pogba was not too shabby either tonight, even in his deeper role , penny for HIS thoughts!

Sancho isn’t ,and won’t be ,the be all and end all, imho, whomsoever we go for in the summer HAS to fit around ,and compliment Bruno-as I said last week. Sancho is as good as Bruno (albeit likely not as influential) and five years younger in our weakest position. He is rightly our absolute top priority. |

Before I went to bed I thought it'd been way too long since our last hatrick, reckon Martial will grab one today to bring that duck. Fuck me and he only goes and does it.
Horrible affair these soulless, cash grab, fan free games, but good win aside from all that.
Still so much work to be done but the basic platform is there, some talented players, just need a couple of more to take us to the next level. We've basically became Arsenal, they always seemed to be 2 or 3 signings away from a title winning side again for a good decade, and never managed to get the required players in; lets not make the same mistakes they made, please.
Bruno is already a legend, what a fantastic signing and what a bloody disgrace that it happened 6 months later than it should have.

Absolutely heading in the right direction, but we do need to muller teams who are there for the taking like we used to.
Is it wrong to be getting behind City against Chelsea? We’ve proved we’re far better than them this season anyway (😉) so I don’t feel so bad in wanting them to win!

Both to help us get top 4, but also, because I'm a complete simpleton and there is still a portion of my brain which says "Liverpool could throw this away" despite me knowing absolutely full well with total and utter conviction that that will not possibly happen in any multiverse.I still can't stop thinking it. |

The problem here for us fans is that this is suffice for the glazers. 3rd of 4th finish domestic semi final CL quarter final will bring in enough to keep us relevant and the revenue streams flowing. the extra 3 top players needed to get us over the line won’t return the investment(sorry the clubs OWN money)needed. |

Call me a sucker but I’ve been won over by the crowd noise. If you didn’t look at the stands yesterday you could’ve been forgiven for thinking it was just a regular game. It absolutely makes it more watchable IMO.
I’m very excited by that Martial performance anyway. Best performance by a striker since Fergie for me and I include Zlatan in that. Not just 3 quality, effortless finishes but his all round play. Link up play excellent, movement much better and even running with the ball and beating his man. Showed yesterday what we all know he’s capable of but what he frustratingly only usually shows in glimpses.
It HAS to be the coming of age moment for him.

If we are keeping Pogba which at this point seems highly likely unless his form becomes so crazy that Madrid are forced to take action and bid, we must, absolutely must be looking to get Matic/Makelele 2.0.
Someone who is happy to sit, sniff out danger, tackle, orchestrate and direct that midfield is needed as Matic won’t last forever.
Fred is not that type of player, he has said it himself he loves to go box to box, Scott I think has the mindset, skill set and frame for it but is being encouraged to roam and get goals, he naturally would be the cost effective option but it’s something we should be looking into now.
The football yesterday all round was good. Rashford looked better which will help, not worried as if he gets one he will go on a run of goals, lovely strikers goals from Tony just need consistency now, Pogba will be better for the playing time, Bruno just being Bruno.
Good game now hoping City do us a favour tonight.
