“You know, at times in games like this when you create so many chances and openings it's difficult to take players with goals in them out of the pitch," Solskjaer said. "Mason, Marcus, Anthony, Bruno - they're all goalscorers - and they've been fantastic for us. They created enough today to score.” I actually agree with this as well regarding subs. We created so many chances and were actually playing well. Not sure how sensible it is to take your few good players off for guys nobody thinks are good enough, especially when you’re creating chances. Only one of the attackers I’d have taken off is Rashford but who for?James? Lingard? Still fancy an out of form Rashford more than those 2. Also not keen on bringing Ighalo on to move Martial out wide considering his form. Suppose he could’ve changed formation and gone with 2 up top but I think we had a better chance of scoring by keeping our strongest side out on the pitch He could and should have tried imo. Thrown the kitchen sink at it, because at worst it wont work and we will still lose. He waited till the 87th minute to get his subs on when the moment we were down he should have made his move, since the team on the pitch was tiring and goals weren't coming. With only 10 minutes left the change was needed. A hail mary perhaps, anything.

Problem is some even on here have been saying Ole needs to make a statement to the board, perhaps this was it. Granted not the best time to do so but its becoming a talking point.
I do agree though he should have at the very least took Rashford off earlier. He was out of sorts all night apart from the free kick.

I see the point but honestly, the lateness of Ole’s subs considering who he has in reserve is just way down on my list of grievances from yesterday’s game.

I don’t think Lampard is a better manager than Ole. Points totals were similar, we got further in 2 tournaments etc. But I think as of right now Lampard has been improved by one simple fact- his club have backed him in the transfer market, with more to come. Either you back your manager properly or you don’t, It’s really that simple. And if you don’t then why keep him? Woodward either thinks Ole is the right man and helps him with better players, or you are just wasting time. How can you fail to see the impact Bruno has had and not want another player of his ilk? More game changers?
I think Johnny said last night that the next month is crucial for Utd as a club. It truly is. We will know then if Woodward is ever going to be serious about turning us into a force. We will also know if Ole has gotten past the point of being just happy to have gotten the job and actually wants to do something significant with it. Not being Jose is no longer enough. The football in fairness has improved. The forwards, despite last night, are exciting to watch. But as we all know, taking the step up from promising and fun to watch to a well drilled, efficient machine of a side is amongst the most difficult. The team we had in 1991, when we won the Cup Winners Cup, was similar to this one. By the time we won the league we had bought and accommodated The Dane, Paul Parker, Kanchelskis and Cantona. Serious players and serious money. We need that again. Or else we are treading water. Which is all we have been doing for 7 very long seasons.

We have not had a better manager since Fergie trophy-wise. Also, I respect him for causing the stink now. That's the only fucking way this shithole club works now. Nobody listens unless there is a fire to put out.

The progress from Ole has come in the 2nd half of the season. Play like we have in 2020 for the whole season and we’d have smashed that 66 point tally. Yes Bruno has been a huge help but that’s not something Ole should apologise for, the side was crying out for creative quality, we get it and results improve dramatically. Can’t cry about the squad being shit and then use an impactful new signing as a stick to beat the manager. The end of the season has been disappointing but everyone all but agreed that we’re a side running on empty for a few weeks now. As far as I’m concerned, Ole has earned another crack at it next season but he’ll get absolutely nowhere without backing from the board. Which is the saddest part of all as we all know he’ll be let down. The progress from Ole has come from Bruno.

I was against his appointment because he did not have the experience required for such a job,he was appointed because was cheap & they knew he would help control the dissent from all of the support about the way the club is run. He's obviously a good man manager but not a such a good coach. I never revel in any defeat, maybe it means more to me than you, that's why i am so vocal about us needing a more experienced manager. Thankfully,I'm also not ya mate. Means more to you because you constantly tweet disrespectful stuff about a club legend? Sure m8. This place has gone to shit. Too many decent, reasoned members have left and we’re left with bellends like this. Even SET has been much quieter of late. Can’t say I blame him. What he did as a player at the club can never be questioned by anyone, but bellends like you can't get your heads around the difference between former player & current manager, two very different things.

When you have actually won something. If it was point-making, for example, Mourinho would have been burnt an effigy.

I'm sorry but I have never resorted to personally insulting any other forum member on here before today, but I'm afraid you get what you give in Life,so being called a Cunt & Bellend is only ever going to get type of response from me.

FWIW, I was not convinced about Ole from the start but he has given it his best shot and we have improved in a number of areas, not least we look good going forward... As Stewart has said, the club should either back him or sack him...unfortunately, I expect neither will happen and we will have a shit season next year too... We are lucky to have Bruno as he turned a shit season into a less shit one but we need a lot more, both in the first choice 11 and the squad...

Maguire and the art of no look defending...this in the lead up to the first goal... I’m sorry but that’s completely disingenuous. His man is to his left, which has been conveniently cropped out of the picture. Maguire did exactly what he was supposed to in this situation.
