He gave away a penalty, lost his man for their 2nd but Bruno still somehow was our talisman. Unreal player. That was AWB’s man, not Bruno’s. It really wasn’t.

AWB was guarding nobody in the middle. He was standing there but wasn’t actually guarding anyone. Surely Ole went 5 at the back so the 3 CBs can cover the middle and AWB can take the far post on account of his getting stuck under the ball time and time again. Bruno could’ve done better but he’d be covering for AWB being caught out of position.

AWB had a bad game and was lucky not to be at fault for a goal. He needs to get back to his form from this time last year.
However, both their goals were clearly Bruno's fault. And whoever was supposed to be supporting AWB defensively - presumably Rashford or Greenwood depending on which was on our right side at the time - should have been doing more.

Bruno, post match interview:
"The point is to score goals not to hit the crossbar or the post."
Love this guy 😂

Wan Bissaka should have been nowhere near that narrow. Was atrocious from the manager/coaching team all game that. All of Brighton's best chances came from the space on our right hand side. Someone should have been on the touchline after 20 minutes organising better cover and bollocking AWB to sort his positioning out. Especially when we went to the three CBs and AWB was still going narrow.

We need new defensive coaches if this is how we go about basic defending. All four of them were clueless today. Positioning and communication are two massive flaws we have right now. We defend far too narrow and aren't aware of their surroundings. Both goals again were a result in poor positioning. We're our own worst enemy at times.

I would have been screaming at him if he hadn’t tucked in. Because then Bailly would have been marking two men. He has to move across imo, regardless of him being a WB at that stage. I’d like to see where the other CB was in that incident. Also for clarity- AWB was terrible today and should have given up 2 or 3 goals. His form is a worry because he was shite against Sevilla as well.

What a shame woodward wasn't under that advertising board when it just blew over Would’ve been a very poetic and fitting way for Woodward to go. To be taken out by something he loves so much.

I seem to remember wanbasaka playing poorly last season quite a bit. Also how can a professional footballer not cross the ball.
Look at liverpools full backs and how much they create. We can't say either of our full backs today played particularly well
Get the lad from Porto in and give Williams some game time. Then we have competition for both positions and at least one will be able to cross the ball

best signing of the summer would be poch in and ole DOF. Our best 11 should be doing a lot better, it's not a lack of pre season I agree but he really has no options at present. Tactically hes a bag of squirrels

Guaranteed whoever takes over from Ole will be in the same position and get the same treatment from people here. Dont get the hype with Poch. Hes won nothing as a manager and hes been at the top level for much longer. I fail to see how he's any better of an option.
