Well at least Phil is willing and able. Is this a definite or subject to change ?

On the bright side, having Phil Jones back in the squad will be like a new signing. plus it will prevent any member of the medical staff from being furloughed. good for the economy and all that

What happened with the Ecuadorean we were linked with?
I’m assuming there’s some weird agent/ownership thing with him? Not that it would be unusual for us to fuck up a transfer, but he’s ended up at Brighton, so no other big clubs were in either. Which is weird considering he’s highly touted.

I got quite a "Urgh, what?" feeling when I heard Liverpool wanted Ben Davies from Preston, then I realised I was thinking of Ben Pearson.
Don't want our former youth players heading to that lot.
As mentioned earlier, would be nice to see if Liverpool get the kind of abuse United did when we went and signed a few players in the last hours of the summer window seeing as they've done the exact same thing in January despite knowing all month they desperately needed new defenders.

Fair point, but at least the scouse transfer team have earned the benefit of the doubt in the past few years. Imagine for a second the reaction if Ed Woodward had failed to realize that Man United needed a centre-back, a right winger and a centre-forward then pretended to move for a couple of lads playing in Germany just to generate clicks and social media traffic... Cyanide tablets anyone?

There won't be any incoming this window but again what a failing on behalf of the management team and board. Failure to strengthen in areas will cost any chance of a league challenge and potentially top four. As usual we'll be told targets are hard to get in this window and players will come in the summer, another myth Ole INers will buy.

Can't help but think that even buying King in this window would have helped us secure top 4 then look for a long term centre forward in the summer

its funny how teams sign players on loan that will strengthen their team yet we find it impossible to do any deals. we couldnt even get rid of all the players we needed to.
why didnt we sign Dembele on loan with an option to buy like A.Mardid have done? that is proper transfer market nous. liverpool once again showing our clowns up on how to make deals.
it might be difficult to do deals but as shown by other clubs its not impossible. even everton, southampton, west ham, newcastle and west brom have made some deals that will help them get to the end of the season.

Jones is back..Jesus wept this club is pathetic. He'll probably go on to be our best defender for the rest of the season...unless he injures himself getting out of bed...

Right let’s lock this. On to the next hope-filled, borderline delusional transfer tread.
